Anybody got a copy of COM_L.zip? I'm actually trying to get CLR integration to work but it flames out with the call to COM_Invoke with the object returned from CLR_CreateObject. I suspect it may be because I have the legacy COM.AHK, but can't tell because I can't find COM_L.zip, even using the Google Cache trick. If you have the file, could you post it to this recovery thread.

I am new to COM and today learned AutoHotkey has had built-in COM support (with the intent of having no need for external libraries) since what was then AutoHotkey_L revision 53 (August 8, 2010). You can read the documentation at http://l.autohotkey....s.htm#functions online. Given this built-in COM support in the current version of AutoHotKey_L, is there still value in the COM_L.ahk Library? Does anyone have a link to the COM_L.ahk library? The COM_L zip file currently posted at http://www.autohotke...-22-2013/page-1 wrongly contains the standard COM libraries instead of the COM_L libraries.

The only thing I can think of is it allows the use of named parameters. However, since a wrapped COM_L object isn't compatible with the Built-in Com funtionallity, I'd say go with the built-in COM support. This library is best for the history files, or anyone that wants to study COM Interfacing, imo.

Not EVERYTHING that's in the Com Library has been implemented into AHK natively. However, 90%+ of the usage is natively in AHK now, and the rest can be done easily with a handful of functions. So, yes, the Com Library is diminished - it's a good educational tool though.

Correct. Unless they're UDF, functions like Object()/IsObject() will not work in AHB Basic.
