Hi, great application you have here, or at least the description of it sounds great. I'm having some trouble getting started though. I don't want to read through reams of docs -- yet, i will later when I've had a chance to experiment some and get the basics figured out.

I just want to be able to assign hot-keys to items in my QuickLaunch bar:

#M --> mozilla
#D --> dos box (cmd.exe)
#G --> gvim
etc.

I don't mind reading docs, but I can't figure out where to start. I don't need to pop up message boxes or grab text from the clipboard or do if-then-else comparisons, just a simple "run this-app.exe" will suffice (for now).

thanks in advance for your time,

-matt

Good points, and that's exactly the type of "bread & butter" stuff I plan to put in the tutorial I'm going to write in next few days.

In the meantime, here's a couple examples that should get you on the right track:

#d::Run, cmd.exe
#m::Run, %ProgramFiles%/Mozilla/Moz.exe, , max ; Maximize

Or something a little more elaborate:
#d::
SetTitleMatchMode, 2 ; Match anywhere in title (for next line)
IfWinExist, cmd.exe
     WinActivate
else
     Run, cmd.exe
return
