Congratulations! If IRC help was factored in, your count would be much higher.

I'm up north, so strangely enough, missed the snow.

Actually I plan to wait for New Years eve for my 1000th post, but it takes too long!

Yep, what AHK IRC would be without tidbit, nimdAHK, Bugz000, camerb, Talisman, fragman, infoG, k3ph, polyethene, Nameless, Skwire, melba..
And of course our bots too, robokins, lolikins, Yodahk, and cfxbot :D

I won't stay long enough in this forum without those person too
:p

This is my 2000th post.
It took me slightly over 7 months to get here, at over 9 posts daily 8)
While I won't hit 4000 in a year, I might get close :D
Am I insane?

3000 and 18th again. This kilo took me 1½ years.

It's been a time of enormous change. The community has matured greatly, and it's now common to see discussions of design and theory in addition to complex implementation. The knowledge base has saturated the community to a point where many members have now committed the Basic help file to memory. Those members are now challenging the boundaries of the language. When I hit 2000, such achievements were still reserved to an elite few. Several members have moved up the ranks rapidly over this time, both in posts and understanding of the language. I believe that's a testament to the body of knowledge that has accumulated in our forums. Everyone who’s contributed should be proud to be part of something that has inspired and enabled others to learn. During this period of change and transition, our community has continued to grow and thrive. I find myself visiting to read as often as to post nowadays, which in itself is an endorsement. After five years I still find new and stimulating aspects of AHK. Thank you to all who’ve contributed to those aspects.

The 3000 club awaits:

This is my 3000'th post. I've still not yet been here for a year, but I've been learning the whole way. I'm still going strong at over 9.5 posts per day (or I'm a spammer ;))
Over the 10 months that I've been around I've gone from tripping over expression/traditional mode (see my first post) to helping hundreds of people, and using COM, RegEx, DllCalls, Objects, HTTP Requests, AutoHotkey v2, AutoHotkey_H/.dll, and multiple File Encodings in my everyday scripting. I solve GDI+ related tasks on RosettaCode, and have used AHK to solve the 24 Game. I've even learned how to use Git. I know far too many people in the community to leave any time soon even if my AHK usage drops off. As Tuncay said, I visit the AHK community because it is one of the best in the world.

... jaco, I'll surpass you in post count soon!
Edit: I have :)

Congrats to the high-rollers :)

:?: - I wonder if any Non-mods will ever make it to 10K?
:?: - I wonder how many posts answer4u & a4u have.

It saddens me that so many of our top posters are gone. Hugov left after post 4999! So close! It seems None has silently disappeared within the last month or so... just a look at the top 20 and over half of them haven't posted in a long time :(

Don’t assume that anyone is gone because they haven’t logged in recently. I estimate that at least 25% of all guest posts on our forums are from regular, registered users. As jethrow was pointing out, he has as many unregistered posts as registered. Many of our most prolific members do not regularly log in. BoBo has at least 5000 posts under various guest aliases, perhaps as many as 10,000.

I want to point out that I do not revive this thread at 1000-post intervals only to flagellate myself. I debated whether or not to make this latest update for weeks. Quality posts are far superior to quantity, as I alluded to in my OP. On the other hand, I always feel a sense of nostalgia as I approach these milestones; and I think it builds a sense of community (at least for me) to reflect back on the journey.

How do you know that Rajat isn't posting every day as a guest?
For that matter, how does anyone reading this thread know that I am not ip0t as well as jaco0646?
Perhaps I am nimda as well and celebrated my 3000th twice this week.
I could be hugov, terrified of the number 5000 and building up this account instead.

My point is that online personas and post counts are an illusion. I perpetuate this thread, rather, to celebrate the history of AHK.

You may notice I don't post nearly as regularly any more....it's not because I dislike ahk, because I love it, but mainly for the community...but I disagree with the direction it has gone in and only chime in with image/graphic related posts.
