I have created this script to do a search of selected text in the browser:

^+q::
Send ^c
Run, <!-- m -->http://www.google.com/search?q=<!-- m -->%Clipboard%
clipboard = %Clipboard%
return

1)
Is it possible to indicate in above script to open tab in foreground or background?

2)
The above script opens every search a new tab.
I would like to create also a shortcut to search in the current tab.
Is this possible?

If you're using FF, you could use

Send, {F6}%ClipBoard%

F6 will select the address bar, within the tab your currently using.

Hope that helps.

Yes, thank you that did the trick.

Do you know also the first question?
(how to do the search in a background tab?)
