Lolz, I'm only organized on my computer. I'm forgetful because I don't pay attention to half the things people say to me. Also, I'm very OCD about things, which could be the reason I'm organized about my computer.

I was tested for ADHD a few years ago when I realized that school wasn't really my strong suit AT ALL, even though I was every teachers favorite student. I also have extremely lucid dreams. Half the time I don't even know if I'm awake or asleep when my wife first wakes me up. I always ask her random questions when I first wake up.

One morning, she woke me up and the first thing I said was, "Did you try my method?" She was like, "What?" I always just say, "Nevermind..."

It really does strike up some interesting conversations in the morning, lolz.

I don't want to go off on the tangent where I lost my arm one morning a few years ago. XD

Also, you should see my scripts folder with all of the scripts that say UNFINISHED in it. Including Checkers.

*Edit*

forgetfulness in daily activities (for example, missing appointments, forgetting to bring lunch)

AutoHotkey state, the forum, Poly, and Drainx1. The short story.
I love my wife, my life, my atomic-match; for giving me the greatest gift a man could ask for, such a perfect and beautiful little girl.

Working with batch files.

Several questions pertaining to using batch files (normally 4-5 lines) instead of using the 1-2 AHK commands to do the same job :?

Deleting files, running external applications, starting a script and application with one icon (run the batch instead of script and game)

I've added a post to the Tutorial for Newbies thread. It's information that was available in the zip file all along, but seemed to be ignored.

It's not really their fault, since there are so many inconsistencies in the code, some of which have to be kept backwards compatibility. IMO all functions should be changed so that quotes are required around string literals, and we can do away with the %% around variables. That would clear up most of the confusion (at least for me and most of the people I know who program in AHK)

this is what i tell people:
Command, %variable%, text
Function(variable, "text")
most people then understand right away. but there are exceptions...

Part of the confusion stems from incorrect use of vocabulary. All functions do work that way. Some of the commands have inconsistent syntax, for backwards compatibility.

For those who wish to avoid commands, the Commands as functions library has been available almost since AHK started.

Is a constant considered a pattern?
