Try to download the compiled exe here: <!-- m -->http://www.4shared.c... ... ation.html<!-- m -->

That one has been correctly compiled with AutoHotkey_L, and the version for x32 and x64 that I have just tested are included. They work.

Could you be more explicit? None of your messages are meaningful.
What has happened? Are you sure you have used the latest version of AutoHotkey_L Unicode x32?
Can you check the exe I have posted above?
And have you understood that the purpose of the script is NOT to save and restore the icons, but to have two independent desktop locations (with different files and shortcuts)?

No i dont want to. it just was a few icons ill take a snapshot.

Edit: I cant it wont go back to doing that. Weird huh. But yeah a fex icons went all over the place. Maybe its because i removed all of the shortcut icons. You know that annoying arrow.

The icon arrows are not related to this script, and removing them should not be a problem. If you can post two screenshots (before and after), maybe I will be able to understand what's wrong.

OK, thanks.
The picture with the icons stacked to the left side is the result after the restore?
And you had no icons (except probably the recycle bin) on your alt desktop, right?

Ehhhhhh, No. i still had a bunch of icons on it, like 2/3 of them.

Ignore The Red "O", it was an old snapshot.

Strange! Are you sure you have created a new folder for your alt desktop?

And can you post the content of the file "My Documents\SwapDesktopLocations\SwapDesktopLocations.ini"?

(BTW, you can delete that folder if you don't use the script any more, or if you want to retry with another alt desktop folder.)
