The project's hourly Chromium snapshots appear essentially similar to the latest builds of Google Chrome aside from the omission of certain Google additions, most noticeable among them: Google's branding, auto-update mechanism, click-through licensing terms, usage-tracking, a built-in PDF viewer and bundling of the Adobe Flash Player.
Favorite Browser
Each browser has its points:
IE (Automation)
Chrome (The fastest, no arguing. Also, sleek interface, great tabs, and lots of vertical space)
Firefox (Nobody will ever have this many available add-ons. Also fast and good for web-dev. Also open source.)
Safari (It's... mac-like )
Opera (Sleek, fast, only j2me mobile browser out there)
I think the UrlDownloadToFile - msgbox has the fewest security holes
...seriously, though. Nobody else likes cookies?
I disagree with sUmON's caps

Naww, come on, the capsing had its' point. The namethread made me realize how brilliant your name was, I just wanted to emphasize it. Oh, and I prefer sumon > Sumon > sUmOn (actually pretty okay) > SuMoN > SumOn. Lol.
Anyway, you made quite some good points there. I don't know if I mentioned it, but the vertical space is what I totally loooove with Chrome. As for addons, I never got into them, because unused addons clutter my vision with their icons (and if hidden, they are not easely accessible). I guess there's a competative edge for non-browser apps over browser addons (see: Appifyer). Would you care to explain why Firefox is good for webdev? If it looks good in FF it looks good in Chrome, but not vice versa, or what? When it comes to web devving, different browsers are a paaaaain.
Another nice thing about Opera is that they have innate support for mouse gestures, as far as I know. That is sweet.
I will probably try out Chromium again. Its' icon was annoyingly similar to ScitE, and I think that put me off. I'm very visual, and into "Basic is best" - If it's fast and easy to use, it's good. For example the bookmarks field on Chrome, which lets me singleclick bookmarks without cluttering all too much: I just add the sites with no name, and differantiate them by their favicons.

check out the list of addons just for web development for Firefox. There's TONS of things that help with rapid development, testing TONS of different browsers (including mobile), and so much more.
I do that too with Firefox, but have my bookmarks bar hidden until I mouse over.As for addons, I never got into them, because unused addons clutter my vision with their icons (and if hidden, they are not easely accessible).
I have mine set up on a hidden bar (with my bookmarks that I use if I don't use a custom made homepage). I also have multiple profiles for just web surfing, one for productivity, one for work, one for web dev, one for school, one for everything basically. lol.
I did like that about Opera, although I tended to like the FireGestures addon for firefox better (IMO).Another nice thing about Opera is that they have innate support for mouse gestures, as far as I know. That is sweet.

WIN or LEARN.
I use firefox for its add-ons.(NoScript !) and the nightlaunch skin is magnificent!
The Opera is running sandboxed so i can see what is being downloaded or installed.

hmm I managed to find the same plugins to work with K-Meleon (well the last pass one is not as good) Funny I always thought Firefox used a lot more memory because of the plugins but with the same ones in K-meleon it uses 30-35mb of memory compared to the zillions Firefox uses.
For me, Firefox has the best design (Firefox 4 that is), I like how the tabs go across the title bar, very neat little feature . . .
I did use chrome at one point, but a few web pages weren't able to load in chrome, so for me, I had to revert back to Firefox for it's better functionality and vote for it in this poll . . .
Just my opinion, been some pretty interesting posts so far, it's good to hear everyone's views . . . !!

What's your favourite again?
btw, that site is horrible on a phone. Theres a big javascript advertisement taking more than my screen. When I tried to navigate away it asked those "are you sure you want to leave" and another "are you really sure? this might be the best add you'll ever see!" messages (paraphrasing). [/rant]
