Very nice and worked great from the very start.

I don't have mouse wheels on my laptop, so I changed the hotkeys to Up and Down.

Could you add an option to allow a hotkey to display the volume control without the cursor having to be over the taskbar?

I could hit the hotkey then use Up and Down to adjust the volume and not have to mess with my mouse.

thanks
Check out my scripts.  (MyIpChanger) (XPSnap) (SavePictureAs) All my scripts are tested on Windows 7, AutoHotkey 32 bit Ansi unless otherwise stated.

How about this one using GDIP?

EDIT : Added fade out ability. Now responds to volume keys, wheelup / up / wheeldown / down when mouse is on taskbar. Also responds to !q / !w / !e

+1. It comes close, though not exactly same.

Grab the GDIP.ahk library from here (ANSI version, 32 bit) or here (all versions).

Either

  • Make a new folder "lib" in the location of AutoHotkey.exe and save it there, or
  • Save it in same folder as script, and add line #Include GDIP.ahk in your script.

Then run the script.

No problemo! I've added the options you needed... (in Revision 3 - r[3]) :)

Wow, very cool! :D I thought about it, but i wanted to sorta make a simple, always compatible, understandable example.

Thanks for the share though! I really enjoy when people show their own way of things! :)

EDIT:

With the GDIP version I can't see the volume texte, I just saw the volume bar.

I'm under XP...

Also how can I do to put it on the bottom right of the screen

Download the newest version from here, and change your settings within the configuration section.

Volume text was not seen because font was set to Segoe UI, which is not installed on your system.

In the newest version, I have added ability to change font.

Great nice little OSD! Including the OSD part into an existing script was a one minute job, thanks.
