Ok - now I try to write "see if I can read this text" and see if it appear.

[edit]
hm, it does appear now.

Can it be different rules between underforums maybe?

Yes I believe Lexikos tweaked the theme to hide this. On my system, it fades out very fast

this topic is different than the other ones. so it shows.

oh, so it seems that if the topic is the same as the OP (or previous?) it hide it (it's useless). otherwise show it.

Regarding the possible uses of post Subjects

You can actually start mini subtopics in your topic like that
Also only Topics that start with Re:%Topic Title% are ignored

Hi forum.

Whenever I answer on a thread, no matter if I was creating the thread or it was somebody else - there is this text input field that contains "RE: <and original topic goes here>" above the main input field.

But - I can change the seemingly topic field, but it has no visual effect on the forum thread.

If the topic for a thread says "plz plz help" - when I answer I can try to write something else than "RE: plz plz help" in topic field. But it doesn't make any difference.

So what purpose does that text field serve anyway?
