How to RegWrite a "current user" registry setting for unelevated user

Hey all... In learning the ins and outs of needing administrator privileges and using uac, I've run into a problem that I assume has an easy solution but I have only been able to kludge a workaround: How to write a registry setting for a standard user, not the elevated/admin user, when admin privile...

Maybe with a hotstring?

Try this to replace "space space" with "period space space"

Code: Select all

Re: Install and use LibHaru with AHK

Thanks I see now that a 64-bit process can not run a 32-bit dll, its a restriction of Windows... So compiling the .dll as 64-bit seems like the only solution for AHK U64. Personally I'm ok with just getting the ANSI dll to work with the ahk U32 Unless: https://blog.mattmags.com/2007/06/30/accessing-...

Re: Install and use LibHaru with AHK

Small success, i stripped down a test script to the bare minimum, creating a blank pdf without the library, just direct dllcalls, and was able to create a pdf from U32 and A32 using v2.1.0 dll So i know the dll at least works from U32. Now i will selectively start adding back in the HPDF library and...

Re: Datetime before 1601 Topic is solved

Do you want to be accurate to real history? Then you need to figure manually based on the country and when the calendar used changed from Julian to Gregorian (or whatever was before Julian) If you want to assume Gregorian calendar was already in place, maybe you can manually add 1000 years to both v...

Re: Autohotkey not working in Photoshop Topic is solved

The #SingleInstance, Force is more general and other use-cases for your script will be better reasons to use that (or "off, or not at all) But its contributing to your confusion, because its doing the job of "ExitApp" in the other example. Also the reason the braces you asked about matter The logic ...

Re: avoid 'Could not close the previous instance of this script' warnings

I usually do it like this from within the script: pDHW := A_DetectHiddenWindows DetectHiddenWindows On WinGet, List, List, ahk_exe %Exe% Loop %List% SendMessage,0x111,65405,0,, % "ahk_id " List%A_Index% DetectHiddenWindows %pDHW% or use malcev's version above, but use SendMessage,0x111,65405,0... to...

I couldn't figure out how to compile the .dll, and decided to focus my attention on getting the existing working library to work from AutoHotkeyU32 using the ANSI dll.

Re: AHK 32bit or 64bit? Topic is solved

The default version changes based on the currect installation... If you installed Unicode 64-bit, AuthoHotkey.exe will be a copy of AutoHotkeyU64.exe Most scripts won't matter, but if you're getting started, avoid ANSI unless you need it for backwards compatibility, use 64-bit if you're on windows 6...

Re: How to print from Autohotkey?

Good idea using rtf/wordpad, I hadn't thought of that

I like the elegance of printing directly using GDI(+) with SGDIPrint(), i will post a simple script that shows how simple it can be in case you want to play with it
