Re: Programmatically add cursor resource to Exe/Dll with UpdateResource api?

Alright this seems to get rid of the ERROR_RESOURCE_TYPE_NOT_FOUND error, but my MaxIndex is still 0... It does successfully add the Cursor resource item(s) depending on how many are in the .cur file, and adds the Cursor Group resource item, but the data is wrong for the color depth/resolution: 1233...

Re: Programmatically add cursor resource to Exe/Dll with UpdateResource api?

Sweet, thanks Helgef!
You're right, it seems I'm not enumerating them properly and MaxIndex() is always an empty string... hmm
I will experiment further with this bit of info, thanks

Re: Programmatically add cursor resource to Exe/Dll with UpdateResource api?

Bumping this up in case any new viewers can help me out with this... I think most if not all resource types can now be read to and written from Exe's and Dll's with AHK except cursors. I would greatly appreciate any advice, tips, solutions, links, etc to help me understand what I'm missing to accomp...

I posted in that help thread, but the solution is not trivial... Someday i'll add it to Notify()

Re: Notify() - Move all open Notifications down on close Topic is solved

Its probably easier to modify Notify() to do it, but to do it script-side you would have to: Keep track of the gui numbers when creating Notify()s (return value) also compute the shadow's gui number (probably gui number + 25) when one is closed (click, timeout, X...), check the location and height o...

Re: EitherMouse 0.67 - Multiple mice, individual settings...

@Notify thanks @multiple simultaneous cursors Nice example, and well worded... No matter what, the "solution" to using multiple mice at the same time will always just be an illusion , which is exactly the reason I haven't tried to push this functionality into EitherMouse. Its fun to play a...

Re: EitherMouse 0.67 - Multiple mice, individual settings...

On a related note: could you upload your Notify() code and documentation to your website again now? The code + docs are now hard for find as the old forum is horrible and the links there to your Notify pages are 404-ing (last time I checked anyway). here you go: https://gwarble.com/ahk/Notify/ http...

Yeah that was very awesome of him!

Thanks for the reminder... I will get the last version and (admittedly poor) documentation of Notify() back up tonight, and put creating a new thread for it on this forum higher on my to do list

Re: EitherMouse 0.67 - Multiple mice, individual settings...

On another note, with many thanks to very generous user Tyler, I'm happy to report that EitherMouse.com now has a real web host, not my home server, so speeds are incredibly fast, SSL certificate, all kinds of features I don't know what to do with but I'll probably design a modern site at some point...

Re: EitherMouse 0.64 - Multiple mice, individual settings...

Thanks for the info and good job. I was able to get the same functionality using info from JGR's thread on the old forum: https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/17820-wineventhook-example/ and a process-injected hook DLL (low level keyboard and mouse hook via dll injection). It looks like some of the in...

Re: How many string elements in an object is practical before a text file to read and write from is more effecient? Topic is solved

I would say, only use disk access when RAM usage is large enough to affect other parts of your system. A few hundred strings isn't much at all to keep in variables. A few million maybe... Force some ineffeciencies into your script (ie for each process, process it ten times with ten variables or some...

Re: EitherMouse 0.64 - Multiple mice, individual settings...

Thanks Its hard to say if its the "unifying" receiver or the VirtualBox environment, but my guess is if you check the device manager (run devmgmt.msc) you will only have one mouse device... If that's the case EitherMouse won't be able to distinguish the different mouse being used If you tr...

Re: EitherMouse 0.64 - Multiple mice, individual settings...

For what goal? EitherMouse already distinguishes the mouse last used, and the plugin turns the hook on or off based on the mouse you want inverted. If the goal is simultaneous usage, the solution is far more complex to be actually useful (active windows, click/drag/double click without interference,...

Re: EitherMouse 0.64 - Multiple mice, individual settings...

yeah its possible with a plugin, and no they aren't documented at all except in this thread, and they aren't really polished... but with some tweaking we can make it do what you want Try the examples here: http://www.EitherMouse.com/Plugins Try InvertAxisMouse2Example.exe as a functionality test, th...

No XP doesn't support that button style... you'd have to replicate the functionality yourself (if you google it you will see others' implementations in other languages)

Re: EitherMouse 0.64 - Multiple mice, individual settings...

If you want all the mice to be able to be used independently and simultaneously, then no its not really possible with EitherMouse... If you want each mouse to have its own cursor, but not be used simultaneously, yes it will work For the former to work properly, everything needs to be handled interna...
