Re: Can I make my script randomly pick between a few specified MouseMove points and then move to it?

How do I "label" them though? You could put all of the button names (or IDs or whatever you use) into an array and use random to pick which value you'll send. This is not working code, just visualization of the concept. btns := ["btnOne","btnTwo","btnThree","btnFour","btnFive"] ... Random, n, 1, 5 ...

Re: Can I make my script randomly pick between a few specified MouseMove points and then move to it?

If you just want to select one out of, say, five buttons, you can "label" the buttons and use Random to select which one to click each time:

Random, btn, 1,5

Quick Search for Autohotkey

I found myself in need of it today, so I'm bringing my sole worthwhile contribution to AHK from the old forums to these new ones. Simple GUI that you can use to quickly search for terms via the forum search or a Google search. This version does a basic check/replace for unsafe URL characters. I keep...

Re: Xl.WorksheetFunction.VLOOKUP() - How to Use Excel COM VLOOKUP Function??

When you use the VLOOKUP function in a spreadsheet, Excel inherently understands that when you provide it a cell reference in the lookup_value field that it is looking for the value of that cell. So while you see this: =VLOOKUP(E3... If you were viewing it in VBA you would, in effect, see this: =VLO...

Re: How to use StrReplace on Clipboard Topic is solved

Don't use StringReplace here.

Code: Select all

FormatTime, CurrentDateTime,, MMMM dd
Send, !{Esc}
Sleep, 150
Send, {F2} ; Windows hotkey to rename folder
Sleep, 150
Send, ^c ; copy existing folder name
Sleep, 150
Send %	SubStr(Clipboard,1,StrLen(Clipboard)-10) CurrentDateTime

Re: How to convert a range of data into an array in M S Excel?

Thank you dear sinkfaze... sir, these codes are not working... I accidentally flipped two variables while typing, my apologies: xl := ComObjActive("Excel.Application") , sArr := xl.Range["A1:A10"].Value Loop % sArr.MaxIndex(2) { c := A_Index Loop % sArr.MaxIndex(1) MsgBox % sArr[A_Index,c] ; <~~ th...

Re: How to convert a range of data into an array in M S Excel?

I assume that the OP is looking to get the data into an AHK array; the data can obviously be passed to a SafeArray immediately. xl := ComObjActive("Excel.Application") , sArr := xl.Range["A1:A10"].Value Loop % sArr.MaxIndex(2) { c := A_Index Loop % sArr.MaxIndex(1) MsgBox % sArr[c,A_Index] } return

Re: How to convert a range of data into an array in M S Excel?

If you're doing a single column, just copy it and use StrSplit() : xl := ComObjActive("Excel.Application") , xl.Range["A1:A10"].Copy() , Clipboard := RegExReplace(Clipboard,"^\v+|\v+$") , out := StrSplit(Clipboard,"`n","`r") For i, v in out MsgBox % v If you need to work with data from Excel, a good...

Re: Arrays for board coordinates (fields)

@sinkfaze: Wouldn't that mean I would have to do this 64 times? I mean it's still better than working with x500, y450, but I thought Arrays could help me there. Well my point was that you may not need an object at all if you're just using the array as a substitute for the math. I mean, you could po...

Re: Arrays for board coordinates (fields)

If you're trying to assign evenly spaced coordinates for each tile on a chess board, for example, you could probably just skip the array and do the math:

Code: Select all

tile=C3
StringLower, tile, tile
MsgBox %	"x" ((Asc(SubStr(tile,1,1))-96) * 50) " y" (SubStr(tile,0) * 50)

Re: Xl.WorksheetFunction.VLOOKUP() - How to Use Excel COM VLOOKUP Function??

The lookup_value field has to be a value; you are passing it a range. If the value you're looking for is contained in a cell, pass the Value property of the cell to lookup_value.

Re: Simple Paste script Topic is solved

Technically I don't think you should ever see "!" represented as "1" if you're using SendRaw . If being able to use a send mode without raw will be more valuable you could always adjust the script to add brackets around the punctuation marks, like so: #v:: SetKeyDelay, 15, 5 if (StrLen(Clipboard) < ...
