Re: Newbie question: WASD keys, need a bit of help and pointers

A remapping is a AHK built-in hotkey combination, which also uses Send : ;a::b produces *a:: SetKeyDelay -1 ; If the destination key is a mouse button, SetMouseDelay is used instead. Send {Blind}{b DownTemp} ; DownTemp is like Down except that other Send commands in the script won't assume "b&q...

You're better off to use remappings: w::Up, etc..

Re: like Logitech spotlight

Really cool! If changed it to support multiple monitors and added some hotkeys (F1 in config part) to enable/disable the spotlight and using that hotkey in combination with the arrow keys to change the spotlight size and contrast. #NoEnv #SingleInstance,Force Hotkey=F1 Radius := 200 Vertices := 40 A...

So instead of replacing the spaces with underscores, you want them replaced by 'nothing'?: StringReplace, TotalVar, TotalVar, %A_SPACE%,, All

Re: pixel search - malfunctions Topic is solved

The above will misbehave it the 0x is not included.

Alternatively, you can tell pixelsearch to interpret the value as RGB: PixelSearch, Px, Py, 177, 177, 780, 450, 0xd90000, 3, Fast RGB

Also: sleep, 16000 ; Keep it down for 2 seconds... 2 seconds?

Re: Shit + Numpad Keys?

You could set up remappings like: NumPadDel::NumPadDot
Look for the key names here: https://autohotkey.com/docs/KeyList.htm#Numpad_keys

Their website states near the bottom:
Suggest an app
We only add popular user-requested apps to Ninite.
Show suggestion form

So, that's the place to go I guess.

Re: Damerau-Levenshtein Distance - Fuzzy searches

Really cool nnnik ! Already got a project in mind which could use this, with something like DLDistance(a, b)-Abs(StrLen(a)-StrLen(b))*(1-(Penalty:=0.15)) to allow sub-string searches/matches still give a nice score. I cant understand why but it always ...

Re: How do i make the Left shift behave like the left alt key?

You did save the line above as an .ahk file and double clicked it to start the script? If you have and it doesn't work, you can instead right click it and run it as administrator.

Re: Transforming RIGHT CTRL key into APPS key (i.e. context menu key) CONDITIONALLY Topic is solved

If you don't mind making a concession, it can be done easily. This will keep RControl as it's native function (which will usually not do anything on its own), but will make it behave as Appskey if you're not using it in a combination: ~RControl up:: If (A_priorkey="RControl") Send {Appskey...

RegExMatch(f1, ".*(?= - YouTube - Google Chrome)", Title)
But I'm guessing title:=SubStr(f1,1,-26) has less overhead.

Re: Text expanding in Windows 7 UAC prompt

In addition to the comment above; by default UAC is displayed on a separate secured desktop. Before you can interact with a different desktop, you need to start a process targeted toward that specific one. To do so for a secured desktop you would normally need to elevate it to system, which is above...

If you want to do the reverse as well that exits magnifier once you zoom back to the starting point, you can try this: NumpadAdd::Send % (Magnifycount++)||(Magnifycount:=1) ? "#=" : "#=" NumpadSub::Send % (Magnifycount>0)&&(--Magnifycount) ? "#-" : "#{Esc}&...

Specifically a modifier key like Ctrl or Shift? Your hotkey triggers exclusively to MButton, to make it trigger on any combination of keys with it, prepend it with a *, as in *MButton::.

Re: AHK randomly sends LCtrl key.

So you see AHK reacting to LCtrl input by outputting Tab? That could be triggered from another source. Can you see any input in AHK's key history?

Re: Any reason why Hotkey, F12, HotKeyHandler, ON would fail Topic is solved

If "Hotkey If" is never used by a script, the bottommost use of any #If or #IfWin directive (if any) will be in effect for the Hotkey command.
https://autohotkey.com/docs/commands/Hotkey.htm#IfWin
So easiest would be to put #If at the end of your script.
