Re: For-Loop Examples

https://autohotkey.com/docs/misc/Arrays.htm great code comments Wasn't referring to just loops or arrays, but specifically For-Loops. https://autohotkey.com/docs/commands/For.htm he cited the Arrays page, because for-loops are only used if you are working with objects/arrays. that is all they are u...

Re: ControlClick at ImageSearch example

ControlClick/PostMessage doesn't work in all windows or games. sometimes those games just don't respond to the messages, and unfortunately you just have to use a regular mouse click. it sucks but sometimes there is no way around it. not sure if that is your issue or not

Re: <> no longer acceptable as a comparison operator

- Virtually all languages have a Mod operator and a Pow function. AutoHotkey has it the other way round (a Mod function and a Pow operator). I waste endless hours on this when converting between programming languages. "endless hours"? that can only be two things. either 1. hyperbole in or...

Re: [Request]: Official Library & Wrapper

- Ultimately every list, even the 'official' list, is just someone's personal list. TBH it is, but at least we will have a unified lib compilation. Later, we can add more functionalities, fix bugs & implement user suggestions by using Git Pull Requests. The hardest thing is to take the first st...

Re: [Request]: Official Library & Wrapper

but I can't find any official compilation of libs & wrappers. well of course there's nothing "official" because who would have the authority to claim which list is the "official" one? there is this list on github, where you could submit pull requests to add any libraries you...

Re: <> no longer acceptable as a comparison operator

semantically i think <> doesn't really make any sense for "not equal" and therefore makes code less readable

Re: GitHub pull requests

Hello. Say someone submitted a GitHub pull request to you, and you liked it, apart from one typo in a comment. Is it easy to correct that typo and accept the pull request, or does it become an entirely new pull request, or does it become a two-part pull request, or what. Thanks. pull requests initi...

i've submitted some pull requests which fix some of the bugs mentioned, but they haven't been accepted. users might want to review them and make the appropriate changes:

Re: whitespace summary: frequency count of leading/trailing spaces/tabs

glad you've changed your opinion on leading whitespace (aka indentation). you used to claim how unnecessary indentation was, despite everyone tell you different. at least you are open to new views in some areas ;) one way projects use to keep leading whitespace (and other formatting) consistent is t...

Re: Automated variable creation problems Topic is solved

Turns out I had the right idea, I was just going about it wrong. It's amazing what 30mins away from the screen can do to your perspective! I just altered the way that I saved the variables and it now works a charm :) MouseGetPos, x, y x%a% := x y%a% := y yep that should do it

Re: Automated variable creation problems Topic is solved

pretty sure you can't do that. the docs explicitly state that these output vars should be the "name of a variable"

not sure why you need global variables for this, just create a subroutine or function and return each coord when you need it

yes, but its not easy. for Chrome, you may need to scrape the html DOM. for your game, you might need to do OCR which can be unreliable
