Re: Run on startup

I’m assuming that means just not to post it though. Does that mean I can still ask considering I’m not going to distribute it to anyone besides him? Asking about how to get an AHK script to run from startup is fine. It was the prank nature and the specifics of your script (e.g. the use of SoundSet ...

Re: RegRead does not find

Using the statement SetRegView, 64 creates correct results on my system. That's good. It was qwerty12, another forum regular, who first alerted me to this issue when I ran into the exact same problem. More info here: https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=21292&p=102632#p102632 ....

Re: Random "bugs" in Autohotkey? Topic is solved

Funny how he took it better than you did.. If you genuinely have a concern, why didn't you contact me directly? Also, I'm not an admin, those are in red (such as lexi k os). Whether 'he' took it better is irrelevant IMO. I'm disappointed you now feel the need to criticise me for my opinion. Perhaps...

Re: Random "bugs" in Autohotkey? Topic is solved

You've had more help than I believe you're deserving of with your attitude, so I will leave this here. If you decide you'd like to be more receptive to learning, by all means, I thoroughly encourage you to do so; this site has a plethora of content to tantalize your neurons. I'm not sure at all tha...

Re: RegRead does not find

It looks like one app is 64-bit and the other is 32-bit. I'm going to guess that you're using a 64-bit version of Windows and possibly a 32-bit version of AHK? If so, note the documentation "To read and write entries from the 64-bit sections of the registry in a 32-bit script or vice versa, use...

Re: How to implement progress bar Topic is solved

@qwerty12 - The PowerShell amendment works perfectly. :bravo:

As you suspected, the WMI variant locked up until the restore point had been created.

However, no matter. I only needed one to work so thank you.

How to implement progress bar Topic is solved

I've created two scripts just so I can create an instant restore point in Windows 10. Functionally they are identical but one wraps WMI and the other wraps PowerShell. They work great... but the only visual indicator that they are working is the tray icon. Once they finish they pop a MsgBox to that e...

Re: Help with Key Spamming

Search for 'spamming' in the forum (there's ~17 pages of hits... no doubt some of them will help) and/or post your code and describe what doesn't work.

Hope this helps...

StatusBarWait for 'steady' Ready

I'm using a Mozilla-based browser and trying to detect when the current page has really finished refreshing. I'm using StatusBarWait to look for Ready and it works very well for what I want... but only ~50% of the time. When the page refreshes, most of the time the status bar displays a mixture of W...

Re: AHK not working on windows 10

If there's no event recorded in either Application or System logs (in Event Viewer ) then perhaps use Process Monitor ( https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon ) and filter for AutoHotkey.exe (and perhaps FAIL ). Have a look at: https://channel9.msdn.com/Shows/Defrag-Tools/De...

I didn't word my request correctly. Re: Thread appears to include malicious link

Actually, the picture seems to be the problem (though not even clickable). It is hosted on u.teknik.io (mentioned in your program's warning) which might be or not be a domain where malicious software was/is hosted. The thread has only 2 embedded URLs and neither trigger Malwarebytes. I looked at the source of the page and I can't see what's triggering the warning.

Thread appears to include malicious link

Apologies if this is the wrong area. I've just read this thread: https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=42030 and MalwareBytes Premium indicates an attempt to access a malicious website (and blocks access). I get the same Malwarebytes warning if I refresh the page... so I'm confident ...

Re: Search web page for specific text

Do a Google search for joe glines webscraping . With what I picked up from his many posts and videos I was able to knock together an AHK script I now use to monitor a forum in realtime. I've documented the script fairly extensively so it should be relatively easy to follow. Obviously you'll need to ...
