Re: TrayTip not working in Windows 10

This just started happening for me to. It might be coincidence, but since I updated to v1.1.26.01 (not sure if I skipped a few releases or not). Windows 10, Autohotkey 64b. This is what I tried without results: ⋅ Double checking windows taskbar notification settings (even setting "sho...

Re: Forget automatic, self-generating Buttons Help Overlay

Thanks, peeps. FG, FYI, your script is the one I ended up with untill my "endeavour". Further on, considering both to be once integrated into something... I have too many unfinished projects myself (for a couple of years)*, but if anyone would ever be interested: First off, I think we all ...

Forget automatic, self-generating Buttons Help Overlay

For quite some time now, have I been looking for a nice self- (or AHK-) generated help overlay with all my hotkeys. I've tried most of what I could find and found them never satisfying, especially the layout. (With due respect to the creators nonetheless!) Then, I started thinking that I'd probably ...

Re: Right mouse combo problem: context menu, one ór the other

I see. Thank you very much, Lexikos. I've learned something basic here, I think. It would have been impossible for me to think this out logically without knowing this AHK logic fact. TBH, I never will be good at this, having too many IT projects in different programming languages and standards. And ...

[SOLVED * Lexikos]Right mouse combo problem: context menu, one ór the other

I want to do some combos with my right mouse as I find it very handy. Unfortunately, I always bump in the one or other problem and it's above my head again. Let me start with the script: XButton1 & RButton:: ; <-- Close tab/document or program MouseGetPos,,,Winid, ControlClass WinActivate, ahk_i...

Re: Disable network (wifi), retrieve output, but elevated admin needed

Thanks evilC. But do you mean that my whole AHK script will run as administrator with this? If so, I have my doubts that I want to do that. I am afraid that other hotkeys and stuff and some miscodings now and then can then do bad things with the health of my system. (Also, if kids ever touch the wro...

Disable network (wifi), retrieve output, but elevated admin needed

I am almost done with making my new "disable wifi" script. The only problem is that, because I want to retrieve the output, I can't get an elevated prompt. "RunAs" doesn't work with ComObjects out of the box. Anyone any idea? RunWaitOne(command) { ; WshShell object: http://msdn.m...

Re: Windows 10 built-in app, how to start or link. (Case: SoundRecorder)

Thanks, Lexikos, but I found already a way to create a shortcuts, and I use it now as solution. (Nice to know there is that hidden folder nonetheless. I suppose it's the source folder for the start menu, "All Apps" where I got it from.) FYI: The shortcut created is the same as my OP with a...

Re: Windows 10 built-in app, how to start or link. (Case: SoundRecorder)

Wait, Lexikos, I think I misread you. You're saying that I have to point AHK to the shortcut file ! I kind of read over that or misinterpret that. Sorry. I thought about that myself, although I was asking for a way without doing that. So, are you saying it's very very hard (or impossible) to do that...

Re: Windows 10 built-in app, how to start or link. (Case: SoundRecorder)

P.S. If i go to Windows Task Manager and ask properties of the running Voice Recorder, it gives back that folder I talked about in my first reply to Lexikos. (Which starts explorer in that folder, if you just run that.)

Ruby out. :-) (Giving up, unless someone has new info..)

If I'm right on the track and read this (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2624 ... mmand-line), I'm starting to believe it's going to be impossible via AHK (or very very hard)..

Re: Windows 10 built-in app, how to start or link. (Case: SoundRecorder)

Tried this too in powershell, just to learn what I'm dealing with, not necessarily as a solution yet , but it doesn't work: http://windowsitpro.com/windows-8/opening-windows-8-apps-command-prompt-or-script Or I don't know what the right command string is for Voice Recorder to be placed after "s...

Re: Windows 10 built-in app, how to start or link. (Case: SoundRecorder)

EDIT:Before reading on, first read my last post, since I think I misunderstood LExikos in the following posts. Thanks for the reply, Lexikos, but I don't think I can run this particular kind of "shortcut". 1. I tried If it is residing in that WindowsApp folder that I presumed, then the sh...

Windows 10 built-in app, how to start or link. (Case: SoundRecorder)

Short explenation: Migrated to Windows 10 from 7 and this line in my AHK script is not working anymore: Menu, Audio, Icon, Sound Recorder, C:\Windows\system32\SoundRecorder.exe Longer explanation: I discovered already that Sound Recorder is now called Voice Recorder , but it's not a normal program ...

Thanks. Haven't read about this severe retaliation yet! That is really [ugly-unhumane word here]. And is it really his right? Isn't that against the agreement from the site itself or Chris' handover intentions? If it is, we can fight that legally... but who has the money and time, right? Ah well, it...

Wow. This is actually very helpful for website designing! I'll often use it thanks! :) Since I am a web developer too, but without intent to discredit Alex' work and maybe even triggering him or anyone to make the same in AHK, I'd like to present these nice tools: http://hslpicker.com/ <- I use thi...
