Re: Macro info
AHK channel isn't the same as ahk forum ? No. Specifically because of this rule: https://discord.com/channels/115993023636176902/631631940465983488/631634803661340672 Why aren't game scripts/cheats allowed? Discords' Terms of Service explicitly forbids it, and it's just scummy and frowned upon in g...

Re: WiseGui() : Themed splash text UI
I really like this script. I'm trying to extend the functionality a little bit, but before I do I should preface that all my gui knowledge comes exclusively from v1. I'm just now jumping into v2 gui's. SKAN stated that the click to dismiss is not a callback. However, I think it can very easily be tr...

Re: ToggleWindows10DefaultAppMode()
This switches between the dark theme and light theme. MS calls it the default app mode for some reason; not to be confused with deafult programs.

ToggleWindows10DefaultAppMode()
Not sure if anyone has asked for this yet, or wanted it. But, I did, so thought I would share its surprising success. ToggleWindows10DefaultAppMode() { RegRead, appMode, HKCU, Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\Personalize, AppsUseLightTheme RegWrite, REG_DWORD, HKCU, Software\Microsof...

Re: Script Performance
I had the same thought too. Even a simple script with 1 hotstring took almost a second (in some cases more) to execute. I tried different versions as well. That along with other issues not related to AHK, I have decided to return the machine. Thanks everyone for your input.

Thanks! I will.coffee wrote: ↑16 Feb 2019, 21:54Far fetched, but wouldn't be the first time I've seen a high DPC latency create a chain reaction. Check it if you want to make sure.
Example of something you can use.

Re: Script Performance
All good suggestions. Am I the only one who finds it weird that a bigger better badder computer performs worse than the older, not so crappy, but not as good computer?

Re: Script Performance
Hard to say. A different anti-virus? No. No anto-virus installed on either machine other than Win10's default protection. Thanks. I think it would be good to make sure that there aren't some important drivers missing. And maybe take a look on the BIOS to see if you see something weird? Good suggest...

Script Performance
I know this has been explored in the past, but I'm at a loss as what to do here an was hoping someone could help me. I have a 2k line script that I run on a daily basis. It has about 11 SetTimer's running. The script runs very smooth on my old HP (Win10 16GB RAM i5). I recently purchased a new sager...

Re: Loss of appetite
Thanks for the replies. @Gio, that seems like a good article and I will give it a read. @TheDewd, I have spurts of AHK community involvement. It comes and goes for me. Lately, it's been gone for me (hence my quietness on the forums). When I do contribute, I also feed off the dopamine fix from others...

Loss of appetite
Lately I've been experiencing a loss of appetite for coding and development. Even personal projects; ya know the ones that are supposed to keep you excited about what you do for a living. My main job is a .net developer where my counter-part is practically a savant and creates all these awesome thin...

Not a ton, no. I need to migrate it to a more secure location first before I push it out to more people and social media. Wanted to get a feel first if people liked it or not. So, thank you for the feedback!

Haha! My hopes are that you will be able to go to a coffee shop (like Starbucks) or something similar and see other people's notes there. Thanks for playing around with it. I appreciate any feedback you or anyone can give me on it.

IP Graffiti
This was a very small project I had idea for and wanted to put it into action to see if anyone else thought it was as cool as I made it up in my head. My wife doesn't get it and another friend of mine doesn't get it, so I need more feedback to say the least; a larger focus group so-to-speak. So, tha...

Thanks for the dynalist suggestion. I will check it out -- glad to see it is on the appstore too :) i dont really use reminders anymore. i tried a few times with the other apps but i found that i was spending too much time postponing and rescheduling things than actually doing the things themselves ...

Yomi

@joedf, what was your method? jquery injection into the console? I did that on my second go-round. Used a bit of ahk to spam the buttons, and was going to setup a greasemonkey script, but lost interest.
