Re: AHK RichText Editor

Some remarks on your new "RTE 3.0.7z"

The sample cannot work write away:
-> It has .bak extension you need to remove
--> It includes the RichEdit callback using a wrong filename : RichEdit OleCallback - modded.ahk so there is an error

You might want to change that

Re: AHK RichText Editor

Thanks for having done this first step in consolidating the sample burque ;) I've planned to do it for some time now but I wanted to add/tweak so many things that I didn't find the time yet. The thing is I have worked on a much tweaked version for my "to-be-officially-released-since-ever" ...

Re: Which SetBatchLines precautions ?

Thanks for answering. Yes it becomes unresponsive and I cannot do anything but kill it via task manager. But no indeed there is no crash message. So why should every loop contain "Sleep, -1" ? It can be a pain to add for every loop because I have many. It is especially difficult as the Set...

Which SetBatchLines precautions ?

Hi everyone, I'm currently having a hard time to see which precautions should be taken when using to maximize a script speed: SetBatchLines, -1 Indeed I'm wondering if in some cases that might not cause some crashes. I'm using it for example in creating a GUI that display a ListView with a list of f...

Re: SendMessage invalid parameters

Alright thanks for the tests just me ! But as you said if it's not working on previous versions of windows I guess I'll abandon the idea. The goal here was to be able to add/delete columns in a table. I really can't understand why they did not provide a way to do it... I guess there could be complic...

Re: How can I do this while loop in 1 line

Right, seems simple that way :)
I thought I was missing the syntax to set it up directly but I guess that means it is not so easy.
Anyway, the trick seems fine, many thanks !

How can I do this while loop in 1 line

Hi, Seems like a simple question but I wasn't able to come with the right syntax. I would like something like while the regexmatch is not null and <= LengthLim, store it in TempFoundDelimPos and do ... while (TempFoundDelimPos:=regexmatch(TextToWrapNew,P_RegexDelim,,CurrPos)<=LengthLim) { ... } Inst...

Re: [GUI] FileSelect alternative - Customize / Restrict to a specific folder (15.02.2018)

OK great news ! I suppose it is better to put a full example rather than the function and separate doc. I guess you ran the function code directly which caused the weird things. Thanks, I hope it will be helpful indeed. If you can please test a bit the two functions and tell me if you see flickering...

Re: [GUI] FileSelect alternative - Customize / Restrict to a specific folder (14.02.2018)

Unrelated but I've noticed there is a small bug for the icons of the drives though, I'm working on it.

And even if there shouldn't be an error I'll try to make really sure the VarSetCapacity is fine.

Re: [GUI] FileSelect alternative - Customize / Restrict to a specific folder (14.02.2018)

Hi burque505, I'm surprized. I've tested again from the sample in this very topic and it's working fine. Are you sure you put first the testing sample and then the function (outside autoexecute) ? PS: just in case I switched the examples so that you choose a file in C: first. Please try the complete...

Re: [GUI] FileSelect alternative - Customize / Restrict to a specific folder (14.02.2018)

I've made some changes and it seems the single line WinWaitClose of the example does not work anymore because the Gui is hidden at first. So the calling of the function has to be modified. I'm on the same environement so it works but please confirm ;) I've updated the OP. #NoEnv ; Recommended for pe...

Re: [GUI] FileSelect alternative - Customize / Restrict to a specific folder (14.02.2018)

Hi burque505,

Thanks for notifying me! ;)

I already implemented it in a project and therefore am making modifications in it directly before trying to put them back on there.

Truth is I was surprized nobody complained of a problem

I'll take a proper look, will soon update.

Re: SendMessage invalid parameters

What a deception ! :( I've finally tried EM_SETTABLEPARMS, as the original goal was to see if I could simply add a column (so in MS jargon a cell for each row). How foul I was ! I thought we were close because even if a bit weird the EM_INSERTTABLE and EM_GETTABLEPARMS were both working. And the EM_...

Re: SendMessage invalid parameters

It says 41.21 which I assume means 4.121?
EDIT: I have seen this on a website
msftedit.dll 5.41.21.2510 Rich Text Edit Control, v4.1

So I huess this is where the 41.21 comes from.
Strange then that the structure size has to be different from documented

Re: SendMessage invalid parameters

Thanks just me, sorry about the stupid mistakes I guess I got tired... Good news I managed to make them work. However it's not very clear why. It seems I needed to use the capacity of RichEdit >4.1 even though I'm on Win7 so I have to investigate. Also RN_GetTableParams seems to only work when you p...
