Re: ScriptUp - Many scripts, One process

Hey everyone, I've got some news! First, I pushed a minor update: you can now right-click scripts in the list and choose "Edit" to have the script open in your default editor (whatever you have set for when you right-click > Edit a script file). Second, I'm working on a new version. Here's...

Re: Partial Title Match with IfWinActive

I'm not sure if they're actually considered deprecated, but I've deprecated IfWinActive/IfWinNotActive in my mind. Try the following: setTitleMatchMode,2 F1:: if(winActive("Mozilla Firefox")) msgbox Active else msgbox Not active return However, if you're not doing it by a changing title an...

Re: The very powerful exception function

If someone could write a proper function I would be very grateful. I agree with Helgef. I don't see why your rendition would be considered improper. this does require a little bit of overhead in designing your functions and thinking ahead of the possible errors to throw I usually write the function...

Re: Help with Count++ in my script

Taking a guess here.. Always sending x, but sending a every time x is sent ten times (plus a 1-second sleep)? F10:: loop { send x if(!mod(a_index,10)){ send a sleep 1000 } sleep 50 } return Note: count++ isn't a command, it's a post-increment on variable count .

Re: Simple "if WinActive" scripts not working

That would be due to your hotkey. When you initially start a script, it will run top-to-bottom until it hits a return, exit, exitApp, hotstring, or hotkey (might be others I'm not thinking of as well..). Meaning, it hits that hotkey and stops executing sequential lines, making your if unreachable. S...

While bugs happen infrequently for me (I'm kind of a perfectionist, I suppose), your stack functions are great! I'll definitely be using them, thanks

Re: Changing Control Background/Text Color

Yeah, destroying a GUI and recreating it over is very inefficient, and significantly more so if it's a complicated GUI. But, you gave me an idea! I had tried gui, cancel, nohide , which didn't work. However, actually hiding it then showing it again does in fact work. Again, not a great solution, more ...

Changing Control Background/Text Color

Perhaps there's a better way for doing so, but I stumbled across this post while trying to figure out how to change the bg of a readonly edit control. Seeing as it was written such a long time ago, I updated the syntax and upped the functionality of it. ; callback for onMessage(0x0138,"WM_CTLCO...

Re: #Include confusion

I'll be honest and say I don't know 100% how to use the bitwise-or (|), but your setup appears incorrect. It results in only one element, being the Third variable. Here's a few ways you can do this. First := ["I'm the First!"] Second := ["I'm the Second", "Also in the second...

Re: Remapping weird laptop function key to be dedicated Home Key

You can just send ctrl with it. send ^{Home} As for the weird hotkey there, if it's suppose to be exactly as it shows, it would be something like this: #if getKeyState("LAlt") && getKeyState("F15") LWin::msgbox Phone Up key #if But you might try just switching the alt and...

Re: Remapping weird laptop function key to be dedicated Home Key

That's a pretty strange way for a function key to work. IMO, I think that's HP just being lazy.

Anyways, modifiers are listed on the send page.

Re: What coords to click from other corners (instead of top/left) Topic is solved

Probably should have specified which corner you were referring to in your OP. You can get the offset using the same math, but replace a_screenHeight with the window height. winTitle:="ahk_class MSPaintApp ahk_exe mspaint.exe" #if winActive(winTitle) x:: winGetPos,,,,wh controlClick,% "...

Re: #Include file "test.ahk" cannot be opened. Topic is solved

#include <liborfunction> does work. #include C:/path/to/file.ahk and #include <file> are two separate syntaxes. When using <>, it looks in a standard library location. When you don't use them, it assumes a relative path based on the scripts directory, or a full, exact path. So, if you use #include ...

Re: Best way to refresh web-page to check value - review my code

Is <span class="Fastest-goal say-score"> exactly the opening tag? RegEx is string based, so if it's not exact, it won't work. Meaning, if it has another property besides "class," you'll need to include it. The reason for the double double quotes is due to how AHK processes expres...

Re: Best way to refresh web-page to check value - review my code

They may be dynamically loaded. Copy the retrieved page to the clipboard and paste it into your text editor. If you can't find it in there, then you won't be able to retrieve it with the same method. It may also be under a different element, so make sure you look thoroughly!
