Re: Three finger swipe script not working in UWP?

Try using the keyboard hook:

Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus

#InstallKeybdHook
; or
#UseHook
; or
$!Left::SendInput {Alt down}{Tab}{Alt up}
$!Right::SendInput {LWin down}{Tab}{LWin up}

Re: Check if connection to server and do something

InternetGetConnectedState doesn't actually check for connection, but validity of the connection state (LAN). For your case, this should work, considering if your router/AP has no power, there will be no LAN. To reliably check if you are connected to the internet, however, you should use Ping a serve...

Re: AutoHotkey constantly needs restarting.

And yet, I explicitly stated otherwise. I acknowledged such, but I don't immediately take what someones says as the truth. If it can be cross-referenced with several reputable sources, then I would take it as true. Besides what you just posted (which I've never heard of the "modified list,&quo...

Re: AutoHotkey constantly needs restarting.

It was my implication that page file is only used after RAM is expended, as I've read quite a few articles stating so (perhaps an older version did in fact page prior to running out of room?). I've also never seen any actual proof that the page file is used prior to running out of room, or of any in...

Re: Use of the ` character

That's the escape character. It has a number of uses, such as when you need to insert a new-line (`n), a return-carriage (`r), or if you need to state ` as a literal (``). Typically, spaces before the first non-space character in a parameter that uses traditional syntax isn't acknowledged. So it loo...

Re: command links in codeboxes are broken

This is a loading issue. I'm unsure of where in the loading it actually occurs, but I've had this happen (Firefox). After refreshing, it was back to normal.

Re: Local and subroutines inside functions

Well, I was way off then. But it does say "when it interrupts a function thread." As nnnik said, it's not actually running, so there is no actual thread (unless logical threads still exist after they've finished? I thought they just had a sub-global namespace), which makes the documentatio...

Re: Masonjar13's Library List

Update!

Fixed exec[A]Func in threadMan class. I hadn't actually used it, so I never really knew if it worked or not (and nobody mentioned anything). Both allow up to 10 parameters. If there's a way to do a dynamic call so hard-coded exceptions aren't needed, please let me know!

Re: Local behaving as static

There appears to be fault on both sides. The primary fault is your paradigm. Putting a label in a function is never a good idea in the first place, and only should be done if it works completely independent from the function and function variables. By sending the script to the label directly, you're...

Re: Best practice ? Read variable from other scripts

Similar to AhkSelf(), you could directly use AHK_H.dll to multi-thread. By multi-threading, the main script is able to access the content of and execute functions, subs, and code the child thread(s). I have a class here that does that (v1.1). In terms of best practice, I would certainly recommend mu...

Re: AutoHotkey constantly needs restarting.

I've never gotten your error (at least not in your specific case anyway), jeeswg, but perhaps that is occurring because there's not enough room in memory to load it back from the page file? Just a guess. Is your RAM 1GB or less? Unless you're force killing the process, it would need to load back int...

Re: AutoHotkey constantly needs restarting.

Hm, interesting. I've never actually looked at that documentation. Then the obvious answer would be to have the process excluded from being paged. Though, I can't find anything about that, if it's even technically possible. I would presume, and as mentioned by Exaskryz, upping the process priority w...

Re: AutoHotkey constantly needs restarting.

You can check window hangs fairly easy, though I don't know how reliable it is.

My best guess is that hooks, including (perhaps not limited to) keyboard, mouse, window, and message hooks, don't re-register when they're brought back to memory. lexikos, could we have some input please?

Re: AutoHotkey constantly needs restarting.

I have experienced AHK crashing when my system resources are depleted -- if a web browser freezes and demands from Windows more resources, it usually results in AHK getting frozen and requiring I restart the scripts individually. I made a post about it in the past, and the suggestion given was to r...

Re: Three Key Hotkey - Key Not Working After Executing Topic is solved

I noticed the relation with the g and m. ;) Regarding your script, the directive will work for all hotkeys below it, which means you only need to state it once above the top-most hotkey. Which also means, if you want another hotkey to not be subject to the previous directive-if, you can change or re...

Re: AutoHotkey constantly needs restarting.

It's probably getting stuck at the ClipWait . clipWait,1 if(!errorlevel) run, url return Note: it looks like your URL contains a password.. you may consider removing that if it's sensitive material/against company policy. Assuming this is in a business environment, since you said "we."

You're essentially looking for a step-through option, correct? I believe AHK Studio has that feature.

Re: Three Key Hotkey - Key Not Working After Executing Topic is solved

While that seems like a pretty difficult to use hotkey, here's how you should get that to work as intended: #if getKeyState("Ctrl","P") g & m::run https://mail.google.com Directive if-statements affect all hotkeys below it, til the next directive if-statement. In this case, w...

I'm not sure at all that it's Nixcalo with the attitude. I'm really sorry to see the direction this thread has taken. Agreed, it's wildly off-topic. And there's a difference between rude and honest, though I'm aware most can't discern. Harsh, perhaps. Funny how he took it better than you did.. :eh:...

Re: Random "bugs" in Autohotkey? Topic is solved

Since you insist ;) : it's lexikos, not lexicos. You have no idea how many times I have to catch myself on that, and I have no idea why. True, windows can always reject input for any reason really, but by the OS itself, seems to be perfectly fine. What's a "modified character code"? I exp...
