Re: Screen clipping

I'm using textify (open-source) for similar functionally
https://rammichael.com/textify
Still textify is missing an OCR feature for images.

I think the kind of dialog of textify will be much better for Screen clipping then the regular Dialog-Box, since you don't need to press OK every time.

What is the best way to get Live help?

There are some cases where you can't get help or find your answer on Google. Like when you have a code, and you don't know why it doesn't work, and you want someone to take a look at your code, or other case you need Live help. I know AutoHotkey has a IRC and Discord channels. But what about if you ...

Re: How to control and manage many many hotkeys and commands

1. "Tell me what you want to do" feature of MS Word 2. Omni Search of AHK Studio also gives great ideas. side note : It will be better to be able to search commands by a Hotkey string too, like: @F1 will give: Command Help | Menu | F1  Unfortunately, it seems it will take some time fo...

Re: How to control and manage many many hotkeys and commands

Is this a question pertaining to AutoHotkey or organization in general? Both, but I guess that with the power of AutoHotkey you can organize things in a way that you couldn't without it. You learn to manage many many shortcuts by using many many shortcuts. There's no other way around it. That's exa...

Re: AHK isn't detecting the keys in my layout correctly

The same thing you could say for
Ctrl+C
Ctrl+V

It's actually
Ctrl+ב
Ctrl+ה

For Hotkeys, you need the English character to work in Hebrew Layout (i.e no matter what the Keyboard Layout is).

Re: AHK isn't detecting the keys in my layout correctly

its not a bug.
Do you understand that this mean that whenever someone is assigning Alt+` and compile his script, I can't use his program?

How to control and manage many many hotkeys and commands

You can create many many hotkeys/hotstrings and many many commands, till you find yourself not remembering what hotkey you assigned to do something or can forget what the available commands you've created, and when exactly you can use it. What do you do to remember the list of hotkeys/hotstrings and...

Re: Screen clipping

@Joe Glines I suggest to change the Rbutton:: winclose, A to middle button (close the window like a middle click on a tab). Use RightClick for ContextMenu with options. Sorry I don't know how to implement this myself (still a newbie). Is there someone can solve the problem of the incompatibility bet...

Re: An idea for improving the learning curve

1. I think it will improve the learning curve for the beginner. 2. It will be better to have "translation" to ^ + ... <> != , but currently there is no references to ^ + ... <> != so the beginner can't even reach the relevant place in the help ("Sending Keystrokes", "Assignm...

Re: An idea for improving the learning curve

One more thing. This HelpTool should also "translate" the meaning of syntax parts like: ^ + {Esc} :: := <> != It seems you can't currently do it by the trick above. How a beginner user can understand the meaning of those syntax parts?! There is no reference (links) to help for those syntax...

Re: An idea for improving the learning curve

@swagfag Thanks. I tried the ahk code. It didn't work for me. It does open the AutoHotkey Help (as administrator? why? I get the UAC each time), but it doesn't open the desired keyword. It always opens the default "HomePage". Anyway, this idea already exists and is called Go To Definition,...

I tried to find, but I think I need more detailed instructions, how to get>install>use this feature.
It's better if we get someone who is already using this.

Re: Bug in Send Command

What is the Hebrew shortcut key for pasting? Is it Ctrl+v or is it Ctrl+ה? Ctrl+v No one says Ctrl+ה. All say Control C Control V. This is also formally: https://snag.gy/pGZCxd.jpg It is less important what the developer meant to, it is more important how AHK community interpreted the use of Send, ...
