Re: Copy one template that auto fills another

Well, if it still has all for elements (you showed just Issues and Resolution, but I'm guessing that's just part of the whole) and you don't mind (in fact want) all the line feeds in there, then you can use this: :*:template:: RegExMatch(Clipboard, "s)Name: (.*)Issues: (.*)Resolution: (.*)Concl...

Re: script to open Screen Sketch on Win10

Have it click on the location to select Screen Sketch after the menu pops up. Just change the coordinates in the script below so it clicks on the right place on your monitor.

Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus

CoordMode, Mouse, Screen
Send, #w
Sleep, 500
Click, 2400, 1040

Re: How KeyWait works?

No, it's not strange at all. If you press and release it quickly, you've released it before the first beep is finished, then it's waiting on the key press and release before the second beep. If you hold it down longer, you've held it down longer than the duration of the first beep, so when it gets t...

Re: Window Checker help needed

I was just fixing the syntax so you could work on the logic. Here's the logic fixed:

Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus

loop
{
WinGetActiveTitle, window_title
if (new_window != window_title)
{
fileappend, % window_title . "`n", C:\mypaths.txt
new_window := window_title
}
Sleep, 100
}

Re: command to bypass "user account control" window?

It may be that something is in your script that is running it as admin, so you could just remove it. So there's not a command to skip the step; it's removing the command(s) that are causing it. Does it need to run as admin? Can you show the script?

Re: Window Checker help needed

No reason to have a loop if you're simulating a loop with gotos. Just get rid of the gotos. It's a horrible practice. You have problems with your syntax. Here it is corrected using legacy syntax, which it looks like you tried to use: loop { if new_window = %window_title% new_window = diff else { Win...

Re: Copy one template that auto fills another

It's important for you to describe all the situations in which you expect it to work. :*:template:: RegExMatch(Clipboard, "s)Name: ([^\n]*).*Issues: ([^\n]*).*Resolution: ([^\n]*).*Conclusion: ([^\n]*)", Match) Clipboard = ( Name: %Match1% Date: Phone Number: Reason Called: %Match2% Fixed:...

Re: switching keys Topic is solved

I assume you mean you press c, v, or 2, and it resets but doesn't send anything. It's just ready to send 3 again the next time you press f. You also don't need the second line in the script you showed (+f up::). That is already covered by putting the * on the first line (which also allows it to be a...

Re: shift tab in text mode Topic is solved

Oh, yeah, I was not thinking about its use within parentheses. I don't believe you can, so you would have to put it in a continuous line and use `n for line breaks.

Re: Hotkey from variable

You can't use a variable to define a hotkey using the "::" hotkey defintion. Use the command named Hotkey to define the hotkey.

Also, you shouldn't put the actual hotkey subroutine in the middle of a function.

Pause only pauses the current thread. Pressing a hotkey starts a new thread. Suspend disables hotkeys.

Re: Auto add numeric values to clipboard

This code starts with a default number of 1 to be added. Press F1 to enter a new number to be added. Whenever the clipboard changes and it contains a number, it will add the number to be added to it, ready to be pasted. global AddNum := 1 OnClipboardChange("AddToClip") return AddToClip() {...

Re: switching keys Topic is solved

Yes. You just need to nest the ternary if statement.

Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus

Toggle := 1
f::
+f::
Send, % Toggle = 1 ? ( "2", Toggle := 2 ) : ( Toggle = 2 ? ( "3", Toggle := 3 ) : ( "4", Toggle := 1 ) )
return

Re: Access a variable from one function inside another function

Another alternative is using ByRef, which allows you to return values directly into the variables in your function call: function1(ByRef p1, ByRef p2) { p1 := "John" p2 := "Jill" } function2() { function1(person1, person2) msgBox, %person1% msgBox, %person2% } function2()

Yes, that's what I was thinking. Not sure it's better than two functions, but if you want one, that's a way to do it.

Re: Access a variable from one function inside another function

Just return the value of the function. function1() { return "Hello, John!" } function2() { foo := function1() if foo = Hello, John! msgBox, Hello Mike! } The main takeaway is that you should get away from thinking that functions share variables and/or variable names. Even if you used a var...
