Delete many files at once?
Hi! Is there a way to delete many files (by full path) at once? I don't suppose the wildcard syntax allows for things like (firstFile.foo)|(secondFile.bar)|(thirdFile.*) , right? My main issue is that it gets really slow when there are a lot of files to be deleted and I have to loop through them all...

Re: Get current explorer window path
I have a simple version of GetActiveExplorerPath() that looks like this: GetExplorerCOMObject(hwndExplorerWindow := "") { if !hwndExplorerWindow MouseGetPos(, , &hwndExplorerWindow) for Window in ComObject("Shell.Application").Windows { if (Window.hwnd = hwndExplorerWindow) return Window } } When I...

Detecting when a control loses focus
I stumbled across this thread talking about detecting focus loss on the old forums and thought I'd make a convenient, generic version, leveraging modern features of AHK v1. This lets you assign any function to be called when a given control loses focus. Pass in either a Func (or BoundFunc ) object o...

Re: No email notifications
Oh! But lo and rejoice! :bravo: This one I got after all! :) (in spam folder, but that's fine by me; I re-added AHK to my safe senders list) Maybe something did improve since the last time I was here? Last email I should've gotten was... February this year, AFAICT. That one still failed, but now it ...

No email notifications
I'm not getting any notification emails. Can you please take a look at the server configurations/ email headers ? My host (gmx.de) isn't too fussy about spam, I've never ran into the issue of legitimate mail I knew was coming being rejected before it gets to my spam folder where I can decide for mys...

Try/Catch fails upon failure to access clipboard
Hi! Sometimes, when I'm using the screenshot/video capture tool Snagit while the option to "copy to clipboard" is on, my clipboard manager crashes after recording a screen capture. I have a try/catch block wrapped around the critical part, but that doesn't help. Capture 2021-07-13 14-21-07.png The c...

Re: Get current explorer window path
Oh this is great! :) Although I ran into a Catastrophic Error, specifically: hwnd . Apparently, that can fail to enumerate, and not even gracefully. Here's my version that catches errors and also allows you to pass an already determined HWND . If none is passed, it takes the active Explorer window. ...

Re: Regex title matching combining title, ahk_class and/or ahk_exe
Oh, I see you've written that function you've suggested
Thank you for taking time to do that (I'll be sticking to my approach for simplicity and flexibility reasons, though, I hope you' don't feel too bad for "wasting" your time :/ )

Re: Regex title matching combining title, ahk_class and/or ahk_exe
I believe that it fails because a WinTitle can have only one specification for each of text, class, process, etc., even if these are regular expressions. Thus, you don't have an easy way to preserve the combinations that you would like. Nonetheless, you could still achieve what you like, such as by...

Regex title matching combining title, ahk_class and/or ahk_exe
Because For WinTitle, each component is separate . For example, in i)^untitled ahk_class i)^notepad$ ahk_pid %mypid%, i)^untitled and i)^notepad$ are separate regex patterns and %mypid% is always compared numerically (it is not a regex pattern). Re: Unicode weirdness?
I just tried having both files in ANSI.
That worked.
How come the Unicode version of AHK can't handle the more appropriate UTF-8 encoding?

Unicode weirdness?
I just noticed some unexpected behavior in an include script that I was working on, that looked like Unicode symbols > 8 bit were interpreted as two separate 8 bit characters, like Unicode wasn't supported. I thought I must have installed the Unicode version of AHK, but I checked: The help manual di...

Array Slice
I couldn't find a slice function in AHK, so I implemented one: Use this function to get a section of indices out of an array. slice(arr, start, end = ""){ len := arr.Length() if(end == "" || end > len) end := len if(start<arr.MinIndex()) start := arr.MinIndex() if(len<=0 || len < start || start > en...

Of course. I can't get any deeper than the java "view" render, which handles all the contents. Not using windows/forms.AHKStudent wrote: ↑27 Oct 2019, 10:43did you try winspy to make sure the title does not appear anywhere when the program ix maximized?

Get Task Bar Tooltips
I'm wondering if it's possible to get the text content of a tooltip that appears when hovering over an application's task bar. I've noticed that JRiver Media Center actually does have the currently playing [Artist] - [Title] ready to be displayed in the task bar's tooltip, just not in the task bar t...
