Re: Direct links file storage

Afaik it has to be opensource on GH, there is no reason you can't sell your own opensource program so that is an option. Apart from cheap website hosting (dream host, blue host, weebly?) perhaps something like mediafire which allows direct links if you used the paid service - 3.75US$ a month at the...

Re: Direct links file storage

I think hosting your projects should be done on GitHub. It's free and additionally gives you version control. While direct link storages don't really care for single developers GitHub and similar services will try to defend against false positives - at least I would think that way. Does github allo...

Re: Direct links file storage

@DataLife, I've been pretty happy with SugarSync for some time. They give a 30 day free trial, so maybe it would be worth a try. I'm only paying $60 a year now, but I think I'm grandfathered in. It might be more now, I haven't checked. Regards, burque505 I was able to get a direct link for OneDrive...

Direct links file storage

I have searched and can not find a suitable free (or inexpensive) online file hosting service that provides direct links. I used to use Dropbox then they started blocking my links because of false positives. So I started using Google Drive. Now they started the same thing. I submit false positive re...

Re: Ansi VS Unicode

Thanks for the great explanation. I use Scite4Autohotkey and it by default encodes as UTF-8 with BOM. I compiled with unicode autohotkey. Since those characters are not Korean then what are they. They are the same as INetwork.GetName() in the network section of his registry. There are 24 English lan...

Hello, maybe, filterNonEnglish(str){ return strreplace(regexreplace(str, "`nm)^.*[^[:ascii:]].*$"), "`n`n") } That appears to work perfectly. I will know for sure when my user in Sweden is able to run it on his computer. Regex looks like magic to me. thank you very much DataLife...

Re: using StringTrim to get filename from link

Here is how to do it for anyone else that comes across this post with the same question. I have seen the filenames like this before and it has always been a ? and then some apparently random characters. The code below works if the ? is the divider between the extension and random text. ur=https://au...

Re: Ansi VS Unicode

Google translate detects some of them as Korean and some as Chinese but could not translate to English. I may post a request for someone from China or Korea to confirm that this Chinese or Korean.

My user in Sweden has gone on vacation for 2 weeks so I can not ask him about the dates until then.

The code rather it was Ansi or Unicode was working properly. I just did not figure out it was displaying Korean.

This guy bought his computer from Dell and he has no connections to Korea.

Why is there Korean language in his registry? Any Ideas?

Re: [COM] How to enumerate IEnumNetworkConnections in a more "native" way?

- Maybe the Unicode version is returning the correct data. But that for whatever reason, some of the information stored is gibberish. Which will come out as either question marks in ANSI, or random characters in Unicode. - The best thing to do would be to scroll to the bottom of both lists, or to t...

Re: Registry loop not reading any values

Why does this not read any key values? Did you try to read the registry on a 64-bit OS using AHK 32-bit? SetRegView might help in this case (besides running the script as Admin). no go on 64 bit OS and ansi 32 bit. SetRegView 64 and run as admin worked perfectly. thanks very much DataLife P.S. I am...

@AHKStudent Thanks for the netsh suggestion. I will send a compiled script to my user in Sweden to see if these names are displayed properly. This list only gets the Wlan connections. Windows has different security settings for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and for HKEY_CURRENT_USER and to prove it just run your script as admin and you will see it works, depending on what you need, there are ways to get it without the need to run as admin but not through the registry I right clicked and ch...

Re: [COM] How to enumerate IEnumNetworkConnections in a more "native" way?

I do not think CP0 (Ansi) is correct, the string is UTF-16 (Unicode). It should be Unicode, but what is shown for the user in Sweden doesn't look like reasonable Unicode. One option would be ANSI. Otherwise it might be an arbitrary number read as Unicode. BTW: More than 2700 different network conne...
