Re: Making Win+num cycle through windows, not applications Topic is solved

On second thought, you might try to send #t rather than #T . Also, include a short pause like sleep 200 before you send {enter} . Here, too, you could have had the answer much sooner if you had described the symptom that your #T moves backwards, instead of just writing "it just doesn't seem to ...

Re: Making Win+num cycle through windows, not applications Topic is solved

I see. You could help people here help you if you provided such information before being asked. Windows 10 is somewhat quirky with the handling of those buttons. Indeed, I could not find a way to select a given button other than by invoking Win+num or Win+T. That makes this a special problem with no...

Microsoft offers a setting for what you want to do: Why don't you just set the Taskbar properties to Taskbar buttons: Never combine?

Check out WinActivate, which allows you to be very specific about which window you open.

Re: Is it possible to detect when monitor is plugged in?

SysGet gives you, in addition to the device name, more valuable information, such as the MonitorCount and the bounding coordinates of each monitor.

Re: Hotstring() ignores remapped keys Topic is solved

Thanks, the word "trigger" did it. Now DuckDuckGo finds it, too. BTW, that also finds this stack overflow Q&A , which has a nice short explanation. Oh, and the two docs pages do mention InputLevel, but not for the combination of remapping and hotstring, which was what I was looking for...

Cool, thanks a lot! I googled, too (well, that is, I DuckDuckWent) and didn't find that. What did you google for?

Re: Hotstring() ignores remapped keys Topic is solved

for reference, normal hotstring syntax doesn't work either Yup, I assume that doesn't work because it's all done at compile time. (There may be priority issues; unfortunately I didn't see anything about that at Hotstrings and Auto-replace and Remapping Keys and Buttons .) But the beauty of Hotstrin...

Well, you can in principle. But it would be far more complicated than the code in the original post, which isn't even an attempt at solving the problem.

Hotstring() ignores remapped keys Topic is solved

After running the following script

Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus

q::x
Hotstring("::xx", "Roman number 20")
, entering qq correctly writes xx, but that isn't recognized as a hotstring. How can I achieve that?

Did you ask the people who created the executable? They'd be the first to ask, anyway, plus we don't even have the AHK source, so, to us, the file is just a black box.

Sorry, an error occurred. Please let us know via the forums.

When I try to open the online help, I get nothing but the terse message "Sorry, an error occurred. Please let us know via the forums." Using Google Chrome on Win 10. Like the users in the two related threads from last week, Online Help is not working for me and AHK Tutorial No Longer Worki...

Re: AHKathon! [AHK Hackathon] 12/17

For my entry, I took the liberty to deviate quite a bit from the task. Instead of auto-click, for which I have not felt a need so far, I wrote CheeseCrumbs, a recorder that looks around the place where you click, records the bitmap, and creates code to insert that into any script you're writing. By ...

Re: Disable Warnings for currently unset keys

I don't understand, you'll always need to specify an origin key to define create a hotkey. Don't worry, there's not much to understand. I simply had at first assumed that your code was complete, and only later realized that the :: entries were missing. Thank you also for your other explanations. I ...

Re: Disable Warnings for currently unset keys

Thank you for your thoughtful reply; there's a lot I can learn from it. I hadn't been aware of boundfunc objects; they look indeed like a great way to reduce rote repetition in a case like this. If I understand it correctly, I will still need the individual OriginKey:: entries for each (which are no...
