Re: How to build Autohotkey_H source code? Topic is solved

SOTE, Well, that pretty much bends my mind for the day. Wish _L could still be password protected. Pretty confident I won't be able to MCode or fork or DDL in this lifetime. Really appreciate you taking the time to explain. HotKeyIt, Ok, looks like you da man with da _H. Definitely want to get it u...

Well done. Teaches an informative lesson in coding and gives the user more options on how they want to construct or utilize this impressive script.

Re: MCode4GCC -- C/C++ to MCode Generator

@SOTE Correct :+1: I have used TDM, installation seems much more newbie friendly. It seems the TDM-GCC is reporting back incorrect information with your script. With my previous downloads of MingGW 32-bit and 64-bit files, your script always reported back x86 or x64 correctly. But if I download and...

- Btw also, are people getting the same machine code that I'm getting? ;me (same machine code twice): 2,x86:uCoAAADDkJCQkJCQkJCQkA==,x64:uCoAAADDkJCQkJCQkJCQkA== The same result, uCoAAADDkJCQkJCQkJCQkA==, with the extra kJCQkJCQkA at the back. What Helgef says here is exactly on point. How I had GC...

Re: How to build Autohotkey_H source code? Topic is solved

SOTE, Wow ... Thank you ... I learned so much from your post. However, now I can only "think about" the fact that AHK used to have a password that protected the user created script source code. Do you personally know whether it would be feasible to get that back? Do you know why it was taken out? T...

Re: How to build Autohotkey_H source code? Topic is solved

Point 1: I think the AutoHotkey_L obfuscation issue has to be treated separately from AutoHotkey_H, particularly on this part of the forum where we are discussing AutoHotkey_H specifically. Point 2: As AutoHotkey_H can already use encryption, it arguably doesn't need obfuscation or one could consid...

Re: How to build Autohotkey_H source code? Topic is solved

Desiring to change the password appears to be the objective that leads to all of these steps for AHK_H. Can some level of obfuscation for AHK_L be achieved by changing the password and then compiling one's own AHK_L? I think the AutoHotkey_L obfuscation issue has to be treated separately from AutoH...

Re: How to build Autohotkey_H source code? Topic is solved

Is there any published list of steps for compiling AutoHotkey_H? What I used was Joe Glines video, though many of his videos are very good and makes things easier to understand, this one was a bit difficult. Many of the Visual Studio settings were in German. There was jumping around from the topic o...

Re: "www.autohotkey.com" Is Safer Than "autohotkey.com"?

Things look good on Google Safe Browsing, no warnings anymore ( https://transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search ) However, VirusTotal still gives a warning from Google Safe Browsing, while all the Anti-Virus vendors shows the link is clean. ( https://www.virustotal.com/#/home/url ). I sup...

Re: How to print from Autohotkey?

It' looks quite possible for AutoHotkey scripts to create, merge, edit, and print RTFs without needing to open Wordpad or MS Word. Sorry, SOTE, but I don't understand what you're trying to do with all your proposals... Of course, in principle you could generate a complete string in AHK which would ...

Re: How to print from Autohotkey?

@DRocks, gwarble & others: My experience (so far) with the WordPad/RTF method for printing from AHK : - It is not difficult to create a perfect RTF template which will be printed exactly as intended. Placeholders can be used to be replaced from the AHK script by desired text. The final document can...

Re: How to print from Autohotkey?

@SOTE: But your answer does not include "formatted pages" containing images, right? Oh, you responded while I was modifying to address that. To create a RTF, just change the file extension of .txt to .rtf (PrintMe.txt to PrintMe.rtf). You will also have to fix the WinWait and WinActivate commands t...

Re: How to print from Autohotkey?

What would be the most basic and simple method to print from AHK a formated page which has to be composed from text and an image? A very simple way of doing printing, is to take the content of a variable and send to a text file of some type. If this is a program for personal use, then one can easil...

Re: Microsoft Defender deleting my apps

Of course you're right that using an exe file seems to be easier for "normal users". I've had some success with distributing 'shortcuts' (.lnk) instead of exe's. https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?p=215100#p215100 I agree that on the same network this solution is viable. However, that's no...

Re: Microsoft Defender deleting my apps

Hi, I have similar problems. Just don't create exe files. After you save a script as an AHK file, just run it with AutoHotkeyA32.exe, AutoHotkeyU32.exe or AutoHotkeyU64.exe. I know it's not the best advice, but I never have problems running ahk files. Regards I think you might be only accounting fo...

Re: Microsoft Defender deleting my apps

Sure, just disable Defender. Use something better, like Malwarebytes. You don't have to turn Microsoft Defender off. You can make an exception, so that Defender ignores the file. Also, Malwarbytes is for malware, but doesn't exactly do Anti-Virus the best. It's arguably not complete protection, unl...
