Re: How to open same folder in different driver's?

This code may get you started: ^5:: ControlGetText, TW, ToolbarWindow323, ahk_class CabinetWClass address:=SubStr(TW,10) initial_ad:=SubStr(address,2,2) ; this part is to determine if it's in the Documents folder which typically doesn't include C:\ at the beginning of the file location in the Save A...

Re: How to run script automatically when in exe form

GoSub ^+p ? (Of note, Osprey used the Ctrl+Alt+p hotkey/label as Alt=!; if you really do mean Shift, it should be ^+p.)

Re: script works, and then not, even though it should

You've defined all these functions. But it's not until here that you have done any execution: if ( StartMWO() ) { Let's walk through the order that your code is jumping from function to function: So now it's going to call the StartMWO() function. This hopefully returns "1", in which case, ...

Re: Remapping Numpad keys as Shift, Alt

I would envision using jeeswg's latest suggestion across two hotkeys: The Numpad7:: hotkey should use the {RButton Down} whereas a new Numpad7 up:: hotkey should use {RButton Up}. (The Shift/Alt down and release can all be part of the first Numpad7 hotkey.) (And duplicate for the NumpadHome hotkey s...

Re: Help with IF statement

I see you use the GoSub to recurse back to the #b label. I would recommend using a Loop and then the Break command when the last character is a /. So my understanding is you want to press #b and keep the process going until it does find the /?

Re: waitpixelcolor? help?

waitpixelcolor is not a built in function. What is the code you found for it? (Also you should only need one waitpixelcolor() function and not the derivatives like waitpixelcolor2 and waitpixelcolor3; the whole point of functions is being able to pass in different values (colors and coordinates).)

Re: im noob and its very hard

It has to do with how keyboards work. When you are typing on the forums or in a program like notepad and hold the r key, what happens is your keyboard driver will artificially repeat the r keystrokes over and over to produce rrrrrrrrrrrr. You can test that by going to KeyHistory in a running script ...

Re: im noob and its very hard

You can either put *$w:: Send {r down} ; rest of code Send {r up} return Or you could do *$w:: SetTimer, press_d, 1750 While GetKeyState("w","P") { Send r ; always sends r If (A_TIckCount - previous_time > 5000) { Send f ; only every 5 seconds previous_time:=A_TickCount } Sleep 1...

Re: Two issues when creating customized modifiers

This is tough. Recognize that AHK cannot predict the future. The problem is that when you use a custom combination hotkey, AHK will suppress the first key natively while it waits for the second character -- it doesn't matter if that second character exists as a hotkey or not. So this is why the &quo...

Re: scrap commands?

The only thing I could imagine is if someone's keyboard is broken and they cannot type ( or ).

And they installed a virus where any program that remaps other keys to ( and ), or any attempts to copy and paste parentheses, fails or BSODs.

Gonna vote remove. The more consistency, the better.

Re: Can I activate AHK on my PC by clicking on a web link?

You might be able to write an extension for your email client or web browser to do it. But it's definitely not an easy thing because of safety reasons. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/6265717/how-to-start-up-a-desktop-application-in-client-side You might be able to use an AHK script to accomplis...

Re: Two issues when creating customized modifiers

Maybe you want the ~ modifier on the f? ~f & j:: . This stops AHK from suppressing the f key press, so other programs still see it. This will mean that if you are activating your hotkey in a text field or a text editor, the f key will be activated. That should fix the "fa" issue, but i...

Re: Using loop to run other AHK scripts

You have written If MsgBox . You need the specific command IfMsgBox -- no space. This is the only change you should need to make to get your code working; some extra learning is ahead: Also note that your Yes IfMsgBox would only apply to the Run command, not the Exit command. Either wrap those two l...

Re: im noob and its very hard

Add this to the auto- execute section (before the first "return" at the top of your script.) previous_time:=0 I was mistaken about how the expression (A_TickCount - previous_time > 5000) would be evaluated, I thought it would assume previous_time is 0 if it had no value. We need to...

Re: Ifinstring ifnotinstring in loop nightmare

Xtra has the right idea, I didn't even realize. That's what I get for late night posting. else statements are only evaluated if the previous if was false. Otherwise, the else is ignored if the previous if is true. In your code, say its there, the loop will remove it and then trigger the else. Nope, ...

Re: im noob and its very hard

The r being sent once makes sense. Move Send r inside the While loop. (Maybe the While loop should also have a small Sleep 10 or something.) And yes you can use a Sleep between the two d's. I'm confused by how the f isn't behaving how you want. I'll have to get back to you later on it when I can do ...

Can you use else with ifnotinstring? Otherwise, you should be able to use else if NOT InStr() and convert to using the function. The NOT comes from the operators.

Are you running a lot of applications? I've noticed with my computer, it likes to pretend it's run out of RAM by using 3.5/6 GB across all applications including system and it will unload from memory my AHK scripts. (It pretends that 4 GB is the actual limit... But still gives me troubles at 3.5 GB....

Oops, which code did you use? I made a typo in the second code block. I typed GetKeyState("w",P") instead of GetKeyState("w","P") (a " before the P). It may or make not make a difference. To hold down r you could try Send {r down} . But that ma...
