multidimensional arrays and "for each"

I found, at https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/81734-traversing-a-multidimensional-array/, a nice example of using a multi-dimensional array. It certainly makes it much clearer than anything I found in the documentation. It includes the following code: MyTable:={} MyTable[1,1,1]:="Cell: A1-A1-A1" My...

FIND BOX issues

Let me begin by saying your new FIND function is awesome. Your code is to be admired. I also think your script should be showcased. I do, however, have a few problems/issues/suggestions as per the FIND function. And, yes, I realize it is new, so you may have already considered some of things I have ...

Re: Hotkey Help - Display Active AHK Hotkeys and Hotstrings

Re: Numpadmouse.ahk hotkeys don't display Oops... I dug further and found that I had run this script back in 2014. And, at the time I added an EXCLUDE for numpadmouse.ahk. in the .ini file. Sorry about the false alarm. However, it does bring to light one important point. The display, when a file is ...

Re: Hotkey Help - Display Active AHK Hotkeys and Hotstrings

this script fails when the script being examined is named "numpadmouse". Any close variation to that works fine.

It shows the script but does not display it's hotkeys. I wish I could figure this out, but I was not able to.

Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements

I fully understand the issue now. In that case, let me restate my propoisition: I feel the doc at IFMsgBox which states: Known limitation: If the MsgBox contains only an OK button, the return value will indicate that the OK button was pressed if the MsgBox times out while its own thread is interrupt...

Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements

@swagfag - thanks for the clarification. I now understand what the documentation is trying to tell me. But, what I now don't understand is this: how can the Msgbox command timeout while it's thread is interrupted? To me, it can't. Afterall, it's not doing anything while interrupted. To me it times o...

Re: Getting spammed by AutoHotkey

@Nextron You missed my point. Yes, I am not being flooded. And, yes, the emails are all from different people. so, I'm not being spammed. But, each email tells my someone has quoted me. They have not. And each email contains a link supposedly pointly to the quoted post. But, the link is dead. I have...

Re: Getting spammed by AutoHotkey

Maybe it's not really spam. I receive an email such as the following: [[indent=]quoteHello joefiesta, You are receiving this notification because "Ufs" quoted you in the topic "CapsLock to Ctrl while pressed" at "AutoHotkey Community". You can use the following link to view the reply made. If you wa...

Re: Getting spammed by AutoHotkey

I am still getting spammed. I never reported it, assuming everyone was getting spammed.

I would like to see answers to: (1) is everyone getting spammed? (2) is there something I can do with my account to not get spammed? (3) should I be reporting this and if so, how?

Re: ControlGetPos BUG

I stand corrected. I found the EDIT1 control. But, it appears it only exists after clicking the toolbar that shows one's location. And clicking that toolbar may change one's location.

Re: How do I write complex "If VAR is TYPE" statement?

@aifritz - yes, your code accomplishes my goal. But, I would hardly call 2 functions and 1 IF statement a single IF statement. My idea was to simplify my code. I spent much time trying to figure out why things like

if (lvl1l is digit) && (lvl1 is integer)

didn't work.

Re: ControlGetPos BUG

I don't see an EDIT1 field in windows explorer. Not when it starts, not when I select a file and not even when I choose RENAME (which opens an edit field of sorts).

New forum: replying is DIFFICULT since we are not shown original post

I could be wrong. Memory may not be serving me well, but, with the old forum when I made a REPLY I could see the post to which I was replying. This also facilitated cutting and pasting from the original and making EXACT references to it and its content. With the new forum, all I get is a blank REPLY...

CSV

I find the AHK documentation for CSV, found at LOOP PARSE, to be lacking. 1. I don't consider a double quote a PRIMARY delimiter. That is, the delimiter that defines each subfield. One might call it a SECONDARY delimiter. That it is removed when used as a secondary delimiter is not entirely clear to...
