Re: Language Code stacks in Windows Metro Apps Topic is solved

1. What is "windows store app"?

2. What is Win + F? Microsoft defines Windows logo key + F: Search for computers (if you're on a network).

SUSPEND command

The doc at SUSPEND states: "Any hotkey/hotstring subroutine whose very first line is Suspend (except Suspend On) will be exempt from suspension. " 1. If the first line is "suspend", that, perforce, excludes "suspend on". 2. The " except Suspend On " statement ...

Re: Include vs tray icon little bug

Your problem, to be much more specific, is that you have a "RETURN" statement in your include. It marks the end of the auto-execute section of your script.

Then, surely
In that case, the C string-to-number conversion functions parse as much of the string as possible and return the result even if there is a non-numeric suffix.

Improve definition of Buddy1 and Buddy2 for Slider

The full extent, as far as I can find, of the documentation for the BUDDY1 and BUDDY2 options of GUI, ADD, SLIDER is: Buddy1 and Buddy2: Specifies up to two existing controls to automatically reposition at the ends of the slider. Buddy1 is displayed at the left or top side (depending on whether the ...

The phrase "task bar" in documentation

I would like to suggest that the use of the phrase "task bar" in the documentation be changed globally to "taskbar". As it is now, the documentation contains both "taskbar" and "task bar" in various places. Additionally, it is always difficult in Windows to se...

Re: AHK and another program freezing together

I disagree that this should be moved out of bug reports. At least, that is, until further discussion. Of course, the statement I don't think that we can solve this by changing the AHK source easily is irrefutable. But, let's remove the word EASILY and see what happens. Secondly, while I am not an AH...

Re: Inconsistency with Comma (multi-statement) expressions

Sam,

As to reporting what you might think is a bug: just voice your problem in the ask for help forum. Then, if you learn it really is a bug, you should report it in the BUGS forum. (that saves the moderators the effort of now moving your issue OUT OF the bugs forum.)

Re: Complex Regular Expressions fail when input exceeds a certain length.

So, ~= is documented as a shortcut for RegExMatch. That's all the doc says. How then is one supposed to translate

clipboard ~= "([A-Za-z0-9+/=])*"

into

FoundPos := RegExMatch(Haystack, NeedleRegEx [, OutputVar, StartingPosition := 1])

It is of unknown width and height. All the pixels of the gui are color xFFEEDD. Find the location of the rightmos...

Re: Example for "Join" re variadic functions: bug?

There is no bug. What is wrong is the documentation. In the documentation you site, VARIADIC FUNCTIONS, is this: Join(sep, params*) { for index, param in params str .= param . sep return SubStr(str, 1, -StrLen(sep)) } MsgBox % Join("`n", "one", "two", "three") ...

Re: I couldnt run if statement so please help

The first parameter of an IfInString command is the name of a variable. 013 is, unfortunately, a valid variable name. However, you probably haven't assigned it a value so it's value is a null string (a string of length 0). Your code is looking for the string "120.01.01.a50" in a null strin...

Re: Explorer column interaction (get/set: which appear, width, ascending/descending order)

1. I didn't ask how to sort in file explorer. I know how to do that. I run your code and a column get sorted (it looks likes it's the NAME column, but it's not. The FIRST column is getting sorted and what all depends on how I have arranged columns. I asked what part of your code does the clicking (o...

Re: Explorer column interaction (get/set: which appear, width, ascending/descending order)

@jeeswg: I like that you have taken the time to share your code, but, I can't figure it out and therefore can't modify to suit my own needs. I am talking about the following, which shows what columns exist, what all the columns are and sorts a column: q:: ;Acc - list Explorer column names and widths...

no one can tell you what is wrong with your code--and that is probably the problem--unless you include your code. And, if nothing is wrong with your code, we still need to see your code to try to recreate the problem.

I found a very simplified argument for 0**0 = 1 (from: http://scienceline.ucsb.edu/getkey.php?key=2626 ) it is the essentially the most frequently and easiest to understand logic behind the reason. Any number to the zero power always gives one. One rule for exponents is that exponents add when you h...

I found it very interesting that you called it "ambiguous". That is, until I researched it. I never realized it could be considered anything but 1. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero_to_the_power_of_zero Since algebra, calculus and most other branches of mathematics require (define?) ...
