Re: %Expr% [BUG] or [_3D_ not understood]

Because it causes inconsistencies with the several types of function definitions. It's also not a requirement for AHK v2 to refer to a variable dynamically. Why would you need this feature?

Re: %Expr% [BUG] or [_3D_ not understood]

@ nnnik, you could change the syntax, the feature should not be removed.
why?

Re: autohotkey encryption

In the end every program needs to be understood by your CPU so no matter how hard you try to encrypt it it needs to be understood. That means no matter how hard you try to hide it someone that has enough skills/energy will ge the secrets inside your code. But to answer your question more directly if...

Re: object classes: coding style

You do not know the definition of the word OOP - why am I talking to you about this topic? You cannot use OOP and have no experience in writing in any language other than AHK. Of course OOP is bad if you look at a language which is not meant for OOP. You have not tackled any complex programming prob...

Re: object classes: coding style

To conclude this discussion and to close it - every larger piece of software that you use uses OOP including this forum. I dont know where you get your sources from but if you want to join team "flatearth" do it by yourself outside of this forum. Also your definition of OOP is way off. I ...

Re: object classes: coding style

The most commonly used language is Java. Followed by C and afterwards by many object oriented languages. Java is pretty much the industries standard: https://www.tiobe.com/tiobe-index// If you want to learn OOP learn Java. Even an idiot can write proper OOP - The claims of OOP are a little bit overs...

Sounds like a bug - any command should only throw errors when it is inside a Try/catch block.
Could you share the problematic code?

Re: objects/object classes: new features from a newbie-friendly perspective

- I haven't heard much discussion of obj.a.b.c.d.e := value, should obj or obj.a.b.c.d handle the assignment of the value. Have you not come across this issue? Ultimately though, as is always the way, a roundabout complicated custom class can give you whatever behaviour you want. And maybe that's g...

You are not affected by all of those views since you never learned OOP - you are essentially rejecting something you never learned out of reccomendation by somebody else. What?
He means that if you repeat specific code almost like it is copy pasted you should put it in a seperate function.

We're refering to how some criminals took that domain and now want to sell it for that price and how the majority of people here wouldn't want to buy it from thieves. Do we have no legal options here? Do you have some information that we do not have? What is your reasoning behind wanting to buy that...

Re: objects/object classes: new features from a newbie-friendly perspective

Yeah but I'm still not sure what X exactly is and why you want to have it and why its better to implement it in the AHK source instead of your class. Also your solution sounds very esoterical to me.

Re: object classes: coding style

There are de facto standards for OOP mentioned in the SOLID guidelines. Also OOP stands for Object Oriented Programming - you orient yourself along functions and derive classes and objects from there. This can be a lot but not Object Oriented Programming. I think for you using classes makes no more ...
