Re: jeeswg's RegEx tutorial (RegExMatch, RegExReplace)

To be honest I mostly don't bother reading unindented code.

Name: super global automatically initialized Singleton AHK-Only: Probably Description: A Singleton that is stored in the super global variable of it's base class and initializes itself automatically - it works like the other singletons I have shown so far exept that it also overwrites its base clas...

I think I will split this into a discussion and a collection part since it get's less confusing.

Re: μKanren: A Minimal Functional Core for Relational Programming

No I think this suggestion has a better chance at passing. AHKs central point is still that it is able to easily modify Windows and it's programs. However if we think of progressing it will be necessary for several things to happen: A) Cross-Platformability B) Making it easier to target specific pro...

Re: Concept about head and tail formalism: [H|T]

Yeah but AHKs focus is far from prolog. Changing AutoHotkeys focus is not part of v2s goals as far as I'm aware. I think problems like these will have to wait for v3. Additionally I see problems with including a single Syntax since they are often meant to be in a set and work on a set. In AutoHotkey...

Re: Concept about head and tail formalism: [H|T]

I don't think it is very readeable powerful or particulary useful, in fact I only think it is adding additional confusion

Re: OOP design patterns in AHK

Then why didn't you just write circular references? I think my class indirectReference creates all sort of Proxy objects: /* CLASS indirectReference author: nnnik description: A class that is able to create safe indirect references that allow access to an object without creating a reference. This al...

Re: Concept about head and tail formalism: [H|T]

I don't think this is in any way useful especially since you can cause the same effect with very simple AHK code.

Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus

getHead( list )
{
return list.1 ;I mean like really? why do you need a function for that?
}

getTail( list )
{
list := list.clone()
list.removeAt( 1 )
return list
}

Re: OOP design patterns in AHK

Hmm yeah the code that is the pattern should always be above the example code.
Just curious but I don't quite understand why you need self references

So then do we need to put the boards down for the meantime until a solution is found?
I mean we really can't lead people to a scam website.

OOP design patterns in AHK

Today I want to bring you closer to one of my most favourite topics in the world of programming: design patterns. Design patterns are like larger bricks of code that you will encounter and repeat a lot once you start seriously programming in OOP. They have one thing in common - they tackle certain p...

Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements

i'm using xp 1. XP should go the way of the dodo, upgrade to something decent like Windows 7. Don't expect current software to keep working on obsolete systems. 2. There is the online help documentation: https://autohotkey.com/docs/commands/index.htm - you can copy the html here https://github.com/...
