Re: Autohotkey uninstalled?

You couldn't find AutoHotkey.exe? :eh: The default install location is %A_ProgramFiles%\AutoHotkey. By default, shortcuts are installed into the Start menu, and can be found by using the search box in the Start menu. You can find the target of (almost) any shortcut by checking its properties (via ri...

Re: how can you prevent decompile the source code

It sounds like you've come up with your own answer. Why not go ahead and test it? If you want people to read your posts, I suggest that you leave the font and colour controls alone. If you think your text is too small, zoom in. Sensible readers have already adjusted their web browsers to display oth...

Re: boundfuncs and isFunc

BoundFuncs define themselves formally against a function object ( which apparently is a function ) No. As I said, each BoundFunc has a target object and method name. Actually, it has a target object, method name and internal flags. Func.Bind() returns a BoundFunc which binds a function object to in...

Re: boundfuncs and isFunc

A BoundFunc object is not a function. A function has a name, formally defined parameters and a body (in C++ or ahk). A BoundFunc object is the result of binding a function or method: it has an array of parameter values, a target object (such as a Func) and a method name (such as "Call"). B...

Re: how can you prevent decompile the source code

How to prevent decompile: ⋅ Don't compile the script. ⋅ Compile but don't distribute the script publicly. Next question? If you want to make it difficult to decompile scripts or protect your commercial interests in some other way, I suggest that you do the leg work yourself. Ther...

Re: Duplicate hotkey when no duplicate hotkey Topic is solved

It says there is a duplicate hotkey because there is a duplicate hotkey.

It's not line 54 in the script you posted, and it doesn't say line 54. It says line 70.

Line 70 and line 10 are identical.

Re: v2.0-a080-d1c5ddf - Sort function

Thanks for the report, although it would be more accurate to simply say that Sort modifies its input variable.

You won't see that modification if you overwrite the variable's value, be it with the return value or something else.

Re: Mouse click is detected -> gui destroyed. How?

#IfWinActive, ahk_id %GuiID% This is not valid. #IfWinActive does not support variables. If you want to detect mouse clicks on the GUI itself and do not need the mouse hook for some other reason, it is much better to use OnMessage(0x201, ...) than a mouse hotkey. However, I guess that's not what te...

Re: Problems with throw in __Delete meta function

It's not meaningful or safe to throw an exception from a destructor. Even if you throw an exception, if the object has no references it must continue to be deleted. Other objects which are being released (such as while a function's local variables are being freed or the script exits) must continue t...

Re: Problem with console output when I switched to unicode version Topic is solved

You are writing UTF-16 data now instead of the ANSI (8-bit) text expected by the console. You can do this: ⋅ Replace WriteFile with FileAppend % str, * ⋅ Remove GetStdHandle and h_stdout. You don't need them anymore. To get Unicode you can call DllCall("SetConsoleOutputC...

I simplified the concept of "command" to "just a function or method call without parentheses (at the start of a line)". Loop is not a function, therefore Loop x and Loop Parse, y are not commands. Control flow statements were and are necessarily grammatically separate to "co...

I need to use quote marks because I will upload those script on to a server and there are spaces in the path... So use quote marks correc...

I doubt that you are running "the above command directly from CMD" and not getting an error. I suggest that you run that command, not some other command similar to it, at a command prompt. %comspec% /k cscript " ""C:\pw_decoder.vbs"" ""C:\settings.vbe&quo...

Re: v2.0-a079-be5df98 - not operator and Hotkey function

I split the topic. No, the not operator failing to work is not intended. Many of the examples haven't been updated with the new syntax (perhaps the majority of examples, except on the main pages like "Scripts" and "Variables"). The syntax shown in that example is incorrect. The H...

Since it occurred when running from cmd.exe without involving AutoHotkey, it is not an AutoHotkey bug. Re: AHK 1.1.26.00 Win8.1 View Key Info won't refresh

It is by design, and has been that way since the beginning. Menu keyboard accelerators (keyboard shortcuts) are implemented by calling TranslateAccelerator from the program's message loop. Modal dialogs run their own message loop, which dispatches messages directly to the target window's procedure. ...
