Re: ErrorStdOut

With that said, you still have kind of a syntax error in your script, but that gets ignored, as I believe. But you could try it out ;) #SingleInstance [Force] is wrong. These brackets [ ] stand for optional parameters in the AHK help file and should not actually be included. I hope these are not pre...

Re: ErrorStdOut

This is not showing an error. Scite4AHk only tells you with this that it launched the script with the command line switch /ErrorStdOut (https://autohotkey.com/docs/Scripts.htm#cmd) when run through the editor. So what does it do? This allows fancy editors such as TextPad, SciTE, Crimson, and EditPlu...

Re: Is Windows Defender heavily impairing the speed of AHK scripts?

For myself, this is my real concern and problem! I'm wondering: All others here seems not to be worried about this. Would all of your scripts work as expected when some techiques used in them suddenly (on the system of a user, after a new WD definition update) would take two or three (or perhaps ev...

Re: Help with a simple command

Welcome to the forum!
Works for me (at least in standard apps; games and elevated programs may need admin rights or other tweaks):

Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus

NumpadEnter::Ctrl

Have a look at the tutorial and here: https://autohotkey.com/docs/KeyList.htm#Numpad_keys

Re: Is Windows Defender heavily impairing the speed of AHK scripts?

Once I stopped using mpress, it seems WD is not causing problems I am not surprised. (if you compress your AHK code you can even create higher numbers of false positives ;) ) False positives might be more common for compiled scripts which have been compressed, such as with UPX (default for AutoHotk...

Re: :*:]a::, :*:]b::, :*:c]::, ect. , without it counting as a hotkey. (Duplicate Hotkey Issue)

Perhaps you mean something like this: Gui, new, +alwaysontop Gui, Add, Button, gSub1, Button 1 Gui, Add, Button, gSub2, Button 2 Gui, Show, x200 y200 w200 h200 Return sub1: sub2: toggle := A_thisLabel ; depending on the button that was pressed, the variable toggle gets a different value ;msgbox % to...

Re: :*:]a::, :*:]b::, :*:c]::, ect. , without it counting as a hotkey. (Duplicate Hotkey Issue)

I am afraid that this snippet doesn't clear much up. I still see no GUI buttons anywhere. I guess that there might be more problems in the rest of the code. But there seem to be structural problems in your script - trying to define hotstrings in a loop or in a subroutine doesn't make sense and will ...

Please show your current code to illustrate the problem and describe the outcome you want to achieve referring to your actual code. This will usually speed up the problem solving process. It is not clear to me which "gui button actions" you refer to in this context. Btw, what you are showi...

Re: Loop through all instances of a class Topic is solved

I agree with gregster 's suggestion, but be aware that this creates circular references which might present problems when freeing objects. You can add a method such as, clear(){ Alarm.Alarmlist.delete(this) } ; example myAlarmInstance.clear() In the example, this is not needed, consider this a note...

Today, anti-virus software often uses heuristic approaches. If there is some AHK-based malware going around that uses this technique (I heard that AHK is quite popular with bad guys at the moment, for cryptomining malware), there is not much you can do but wait until the wave is over. On the other h...

Re: Loop through all instances of a class Topic is solved

I think, I prefer quick-and-clean in this case.

Of course, you could instead use a static associative array for more sophisticated alarm management (deletion etc.), if needed

Re: Loop through all instances of a class Topic is solved

I guess you could store the instances in a static variable and something like this (if I am understanding your question correctly): A1 := new Alarm(1, "active") A2 := new Alarm(2, "active") A3 := new Alarm(3, "active" ) A2.Reset() for each, instance in Alarm.Alarmlist m...

Re: Click Action on GUI Topic is solved

You may use other window messages like WM_RBUTTONDOWN = 0x204 and WM_MBUTTONDOWN = 0x207 for right click and middle button click. If you add handles to the Picture controls via the hwnd option, you can also differentiate between the pictures (and non-picture area) - see below: Z1 = C:\Program Files\...

Re: Speech to text//Dictation with Google Api

I am glad that I could help :) . I am planning to post a few more Telegram-related scripts as soon as I have finished my (object-oriented) Telegram API wrapper (but recently I didn't have time to work on this). There are a lot of other things that can be done - custom buttoms and keyboards, automate...

Ok, then I can save the introductory stuff how to set up a bot and get a bot ID, and chat ID ;) Now, here is a stripped down version of this script: https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=42031&hilit=telegram#p192355 Just add your bot ID, chat ID and include Coco's JSON library fo...
