Re: replicate diagonal arrow ?

In don't know any numpads with these diagonal arrows and I don't think, these are standard keys in any way. On my two pc keyboards there are no diagonal arrows on the numpad and the keys in question don't work the way you are alluding to - default on numpads is this: 1 is end , 3 is Pagedown , 9 Pag...

Re: Beginners question - stopping a script

You want a script to stop another script? Rather right-click on the script's icon in the systray and choose "Exit". (In emergency kill all Autohotkey.exe processes via the task manager or re-boot the computer) For the future, add Esc::ExitApp to your script to be able to exit it via the Es...

Re: Pulover's Macro Creator v5.0.5 - The Complete Automation Tool

I just discovered this macro creator and I was very excited to try it out, but when i go to macrocreator.com it says the website domain is expired and is pending renewal. Is there any way I can start using the macro creator? Is there a github download for it or anything? Does anyone know? There is ...

Re: case command?

Note that else if-statements don't have to be split into two separate lines. You can also do:

Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus

Else If (Option="C")

But there needs to be a space between else and if

Entweder das, was nnnik schrieb, oder die Text-Option für Hotstrings setzen (AHK Version 1.1.27+):

Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus

:*T:xyz::-20/+40

Re: WinMinimize not working with certain apps

You probably need to run the script as admin, so that also apps with elevated rights will react to it.

Btw, 'Ask for Help' would be the right subforum for this kind of question.

Re: Changing case for a string

Why shouldn't it work? The example transformed lower- to uppercase. Since you want lowercase, use the corresponding flag: https://autohotkey.com/docs/commands/Format.htm#FormatSpec and format each input of yours... str := "101M" msgbox % Format("{:l}", str) str := "24M"...

Re: Why doesn't this work? (Simple timer) Topic is solved

If he then adds a sleep 1 to just before the end of his while loop then it should give him about a millisecond then? Probably more like 10 or 15 ms, compare Remarks in Sleep docs. One ms pause between click s would be much too fast for most games anyway (either clicks won't get registered or you wi...

Re: Why doesn't this work? (Simple timer) Topic is solved

another hotkey like this ^+c:: Time += 1000 (which adds 1000 (or 1 sec) to the time) This whole adding of numbers is not a good or reliable method to slow down a script. I am not surprised that it counts quite fast up to 50000. As long as the script doesn't use the Sleep command (which uses millise...

Re: autoclose popup like TeamViewer

A few thoughts: You should think about using a Timer (see SetTimer ) instead (although there is even a Loop command available). The use of goto is generally discouraged. It tends to lead to ugly code which is hard to follow. Also, you should probably add to the script description that, like this, it...

Re: File loop get complete path and file name Topic is solved

On the page with 'built-in variables', there is a loop section near to the end: https://autohotkey.com/docs/Variables.htm#loop
But you are right, the ones you are looking for are only mentioned as etc.... and you are sent to the file-loop and other loop-related docs.

Re: A_ScriptName without extension

Define a function (obviously this will take some lines, too) - after that, you can call this function with one line, as often as you like.

Re: Newbie needing guidance

You would probably make it a bit easier for most readers, if you would add the actual goal of your script; perhaps show the expected result.
Many here can probably make an educated guess, but this is more a general recommendation in order to organize help efficiently.

You are welcome :) . You can just look for url encoding or percent encoding: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percent-encoding.

Re: AHK Telegram MsgBox (Telegram_MsgBox)

Hey, snowmind, you can do it like this: text := "Let's have a%0Alinebreak." ; url encoding: %0A = newline There are a number of other signs that you need to replace, like 'plus': %2b = plus sign (+) @spur: it was too hot this weekend 8-) - I will dig it up tomorrow.

Re: CTRL+B to Paste and Go in Firefox

Well, it seems to work better, if I slow it down by sending a dummy {Ctrl} in between:

Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus

^b::SendInput, ^l{ctrl}^v{Enter}

Re: CTRL+B to Paste and Go in Firefox

You can't - at least not with the Sleep s which are intended to make it more reliable. You can try this, but it doesn't work as good as the multi-line version for me: ^b::SendInput, ^l^v{Enter} It is too fast on my computer... But what should be the advantage of doing it in one line? I'd rather have...

Use small letters: SendInput, ^L will send an additional Shift (which didn't work for me here).

Re: Passing parameters between scripts question

ExitApp docs say that Exitcode can be an (=one) integer between -2147483648 and 2147483647. It seems that your use case does not fall into this limits. In the docs there are some examples using OnMessage() which show how to send information from one script to another (see example 3+4). There are pr...
