Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements
As Lexicos pointed out in the following thread: https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=49224 I was mistaken in posting that you can remove the Hidden attribute from the C:\ProgramData folder by using the Folder Options from Windows Explorer or the Control Panel. It enables one to see that...

Re: startup script not working Topic is solved
Lexicos is entirely correct. For some reason, I was mistaken in saying that changing that Windows Explorer Folders Option would remove the Hidden attribute. I had spent several hours trying to find the Startup folder on my PC and was only able to do it once I changed that option. But of course that ...

Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements
I have just updated my Explorer tutorial to provide information about 'shell:' folders e.g. shell:Startup and shell:Common Startup. The FAQ could possibly make reference to these 'shell:' folders. jeeswg's Explorer tutorial - AutoHotkey Community https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=31...

Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements
Blk28 recently started a thread titled, "startup script not working". Here is a link: https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=49224 This thread got me to thinking there is a problem in the AHK FAQ section about the "Startup Folder". Here is what the FAQ says: ------------------------------...

Re: startup script not working Topic is solved
There is a most excellent freeware utility called "Startup" written by Mike Lin. Just Google "startup mike Lin" and download it. Here is one link but I haven't tried it: http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/startup_control_panel_standalone_version.html Managing the startup folder is a real pain i...

Re: AHK Mystery
I thank you for your good advice. I had decided yesterday to rewrite this post for several reasons. Among them are several that you mentioned. When I said that all the hotkeys are invoked in the same way, I was referring to the way in which they are activated. Specifically, you press both the CTL an...

AHK Mystery
I'm currently having a problem using AHK with Windows 7 but before explaining the problem I'm having, I need to tell you that I have two PCs and this problem only occurs on one of them. Because of that, I fear there may be something about the PC that causes this problem and so you may not be able to...

Can anyone please tell me if there is some other forum on this board better suited for creating test posts?
