Re: AHK's original tutorial

this was /the original/ tutorial. for ahk 1.0. Those (well, if/else) were not covered.
though, the new one doesn't cover them either :P I did think about adding if/else a while ago but I'm done writing stuff for it.

Re: « What's on your mind? » Topic is solved

yes, I meant like fancy scifi stealth type of camo (GITS, every scifi movie ever, "optical camouflage"). not the fabric pattern. basically: if you spent a lot of time leveling camo only for it to be detected by radar, would you be mad? (same high level) if you spent a lot of time leveling ...

Re: « What's on your mind? » Topic is solved

« What's on your mind? » *random game mechanic thought. no specific game* say there's a game that has 2 opposing mechanics: camo and radar. camo hides you/your ship/vehicle/base/whatever. radar detects said hidden things. you can level up either of them to level 5. It might take a year or 2, but it'...

Flat Earth vs. Globe Earth

I've been seeing these discussions more and more across the internet. I'm wondering what programmers/scripters think. Which do you believe? Flat Earth or Globe Earth. Or some other shape. Why? What proof/facts/arguments/reasons do you have for or against the other? Please - keep it civil - no insult...

Re: replace a ";" with a "/" once I copied a text in the clipboard Topic is solved

Try: #Persistent OnClipboardChange: IF (A_EventInfo = 1) clipboard := RegExReplace(clipboard, ";","/") Return do not use regex for this insanely simple replacement. it's overkill and will only teach people bad practices. use stringreplace or strreplace () regex is much slower (n...

Re: « What's on your mind? » Topic is solved

I hate ultra-wides. it's 20x8 feet, a ratio of 5:2 (4096x1716 resolution). What videos/movies have that ratio? everything would be stretched (kinda looks stretched in images when googling) or scaled+cropped. and it's only 4k :P iirc some monitors are 5k now, and there's 8k you can get aswell (maybe ...

there's like 8 "help pause and unpause" topics on the AFH front page, all seemingly different people. (well, maybe 3 or 4. but still. search people!)

Re: Pls help me! Run a program after listing multiple files Topic is solved

easiest way would be to check common locations for the IrfanView folder and then if it has i_view32.exe (or the 64bit version). like: C:\Program Files\IrfanView\i_view32.exe .... (or loop through all drive letters? sounds gross) and C:\Program Files (x86)\IrfanView\i_view32.exe and possibly in appda...

"The program works fine if I only have one action in the "If key = d" section."

you need to use {}'s if you have more than 1 action. just like your entire posted code is wrapped in {}'s.

Re: Read how many times to Loop from a txt file? Topic is solved

seems my edit didn't save. I also mentioned "you'll probably want to use a full path", but it didn't get saved into my post. That's probably the reason why. you and BoBo never specified a path. but BoBo created a file in the never-specified location, so it goes to the default location (C:\...

if you're using fileread, the file cannot contain anything else, not even a blank line. just a number.

Re: Send help to a beginner in need Topic is solved

fileopen() is a function.
fork.bat is text.
text needs to be in quotes inside functions, just like your "w" and file.write()

and you'll probably want to use a full path.

Re: Imagesearch without having the image?

there exists a function that is like "regionHash()" or something, on the forums. it doesn't go by an image but check the hash (I think thats what it was) value of all pixels within a region. which you can use to check if a region has changed. where that is or what it's called, I don't reme...

Re: Mimic slow read (down key with infinite loop)

did you know most (all?) browsers allow you to auto-scroll (with adjustable speeds) by middle clicking?
click it, don't hold it. just click once and then move your mouse, it'll lock at that direction+speed.

Re: FormatTime bug

Is it because you use

Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus

else
Tomorrow += 1, Day

?
if your final if doesn't match, it will always add 1. if you don't want it to add 1, don't use those 2 lines ("else" is not always required)

Re: var question

my guess is this isn't your full script, and you have stuff above those 2 lines, such as other hotkeys or "return"
but that's only assuming as you haven't showed more.

Run it as-is and it will work, probably.
