Re: [Lib] SplitButton()

Ahhh I love it. Thanks for sharing :) You're welcome... still needs improvement but might come in handy Hmmm, doesn't show any dropdown for me. I guess, it only supports 32 bit at the moment? Edit: Oh yeah, 32 bit works. Looks very useful. Thanks a lot! Oops, yeah I forgot to test on 64bit... shoul...

Re: [Lib] SplitButton()

Oops, I left the "GetDlgItem" call hard coded to the 7th control from my example... need to fix that, gimme a minute (i guess i'll save (static var) the hCtrl from the initialization call and compare that way instead, maybe an array of hCtrl and its associated menu name in...

[Lib] SplitButton()

http://www.gwarble.com/ahk/Screenshots/SplitButton.png Here's a proof-of-concept stdlib function for creating split buttons (drop down buttons). Needs more options built in (changing the glyph, styles, etc) but its a start... Enjoy A split button has a default action followed by a divider line and ...

Gdip question, manipulate colors of image on DC

Hey all, I'm trying to take an existing image on a DC and adjust its colors If i understand conceptually, i'm supposed to: 1) make a new memory device context 2) create a bitmap for the new DC 3) SelectObject that new bitmap into the new DC 4) BitBlt the contents of the original DC to the new memory...

Re: "Explorer" subclassed/themed Listview and TreeView controls, draw explorer style focus rectangle

thanks man! that works for the drawing the rectangle (and for buttons!) now i think instead of drawing it on the window's DC i need to ownerdraw or customdraw the listview control, find the dc and rect where the rectangle would normally be drawn, prevent it, and DrawThemeBackground at that point htt...

"Explorer" subclassed/themed Listview and TreeView controls, draw explorer style focus rectangle

Hey all, I recently discovered that you can use some of Windows' own classes for things to get your own guis to look more like windows explorer windows: SetWindowTheme(hListView, "ItemsView") ;or "Explorer" ;... SetWindowTheme(hwnd, str) { Return DllCall("uxtheme\SetWindowTh...

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

Well, would you provide an example? Otherwise I foresee questions like "I activated the SEARCH option, but nothing happens when I select it". there are any number of things you could do with the search string (in fact in my app i would just replace the "? " at the beginning of t...

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

Yeah but why not? Its easy enough to implement "a search engine to assist the user" however you define that, might as well include the option

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

I was using the function version, edited my response above to add it to the class version

also realized the predefined sources you are asking about aren't the same as the SHAutoComplete... i'll have to research these more

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

do you mean ACO_SEARCH? if so it works fine, adds the "Search for "typedstring"" to the end of the AutoComplete list, and if selected sends "? typedstring" to the combo box, just like in a windows explorer window when you start typing in the location box ( EDIT: for som...

Re: Request: Gui/Window style keyword for "NoIconButWithCloseButton"

and didn't realize til now that the +0x10000000 call above was really just showing the gui I didn't think changing the style was actually sufficient to show the window, but apparently it is. In that case, you may as well use Gui Show. yup Does the ability to create window classes on the fly create ...

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

Nice, works well in Win7 and in XP without the "fault exception" i was getting on exit... @gwarble: The Escape key doesn't work for me! You're right, your sample doesn't work for me either... I had only tested it on a ComboBox (by using the following to get its edit control's hwnd): hedit ...

Re: Request: Gui/Window style keyword for "NoIconButWithCloseButton"

ah i see, thanks for the explanation... i wasn't asking for the trick to be implemented (and know of no documentation regarding it save the trick from user TLM linked above), I wasn't aware that it was not a matter of Gui Styles or ExStyles at all but a conflict in that the class defined as AutoHotk...

Request: Gui/Window style keyword for "NoIconButWithCloseButton"

Hi lexikos, Unless I'm missing something, there is no combination of Gui Styles/ExStyles (or some gui commands are inadvertantly changing a style) to get a window with a close button but no window icon and no other buttons (min, max, etc) There's a trick here to accomplish it: https://autohotkey.com...

Re: [SOLVED] How to remove GUI title bar icon

Thanks for sharing this trick... I know this is an old topic but a small improvement that allows you to set the window as desired (ie: no icon, with close button) before the Gui, Show to both prevent the visual change to the window after its visible (sometimes with the above you can see the window f...

i'm not sure if the forum is losing posts (super slow right now so somethings going on) or if i screwed up, but I thought I posted yesterday that if i recall correctly the Surface Pro 3 Touch Cover gives position updates as ID 0, but i'm not sure as i don't have one

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

No problem...

I've been experimenting as well and still have some issues (testing on XP i get random crashes (fault exception) when closing the app after it apparently works well... still have to investigate if i'm doing all the proper cleanup)

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

And finally, if you're planning to polish off the class, i'd think a WantEsc option (like WantReturn but not appending the autocomplete) would be useful (and better mimic windows explorer's usage) Apparently this is handled internally... when the "USETAB" option is used pressing the Escap...
