Re: EitherMouse 0.64 - Multiple mice, individual settings...

not very common at all, usually for some auxiliary function like horizontal scroll or something

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

Once I'm happy with how it works and is more tested I will probably create a new thread in S&F for the Lib version of this, I would imagine just me will polish up his class version with RegisterSyncCallback as well (if not its an easy edit)

Re: EitherMouse 0.64 - Multiple mice, individual settings...

sweet, glad its proving useful i've had to include the ability for device ID 0 to exist in EitherMouse because some people's devices also register as 0 handle for some reason, i assume as a fault of the way their driver processes the hardware input and sometimes it ends up going out in a more "...

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

I'm sure that lexikos is right me too :) Does it crash for you? Your class version doesn't seem to crash on me, only sometimes stops providing the autocomplete (after enough tries of first character, backspace, repeat it will eventually stop coming up) When I added the sleep to my function version ...

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

hmm... well thats a bummer. so the iAutoComplete2 interface (or autocomplete object i guess) creates a second thread, in which the callback needs to be registered but we don't have access to it to do that? that might be reason enough to create a mimic and code it all... but i like how its identical ...

no worries, glad you figured it out

Edit: cleaned up the documentation a little in preparation for creating a new Notify() thread on the new forum (which I will try to get up this weekend):

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

hey just me, Thanks, you're right that sleep makes a considerable difference in the crash frequency... seems somethings keeping the callbacks from getting called properly? I noticed that (tried adding a check for 27 (vk_esc) like your check for 13 (vk_return) but it never triggered... i guess that w...

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

Wow, nice rewrite (and fast) Still have some crashing going on unfortunately, especially when put into my "inputbox" example And finally, if you're planning to polish off the class, i'd think a WantEsc option (like WantReturn but not appending the autocomplete) would be useful (and better ...

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

sure i'd love to try your class version... i have to admit i'm glad to hear the problem repeats for you and it wasn't a simple oversight on my end... true "init" is called once per function call, but the function is only called once and the problem is apparent... i figured there would be s...

Re: Programmatically add cursor resource to Exe/Dll with UpdateResource api?

this is my "tried for a year and failed" bump, anyone have any suggestions on what I should look in to? i'd love to build my EitherMouse executable programmatically with new versions of ahk rather than mess around with Resource Hacker, but can't figure out how to add the cursors! thanks - ...

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

guest: i replied to that thread, thanks just me, lexikos, and other geniuses: i found a couple versions of this function via old forum thread, german thread, github, etc... some have _IUnknown_QueryInterface() vs others have _EnumString_QueryInterface() but i can't see that making a ...

Re: Notify() Cannt run well on Windows 10

Hey all, sorry I didn't see this thread til now I've tested Notify() successfully with Win10 in the past (but its been a while as I don't use Win10 regularly) but feel free to share your code example and I'll see if I can recreate the problem. I will try to make some time to make a new Notify() thre...

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

oops, i guess i never posted my example code using the function... here's a simple example, crashes over 50% of the time i'd say, and "init" is only called once: [code file=TestAutoComplete.ahk:26br5hvj] #NoEnv #SingleInstance, Off #NoTrayIcon SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% PartNumber := Inpu...

Re: EitherMouse 0.64 - Multiple mice, individual settings...

menasheh: not with EitherMouse... i started work on a keyboard equivalent but its a long way off, sorry (have to hook the keyboard input, blocking it, and then send it through selectively... a little more than whats needed for mice) arglebargle: interesting... i haven't run across that yet and you'r...

Re: AutoComplete() (using iAutoComplete2) crashes script/ahk sometimes

thanks for the help guys... Unfortunately adding "CoTaskMemFree" didn't have any noticeable effect, nor does switching to the "IIDFromString" method from justme for QueryInterface (edit: though both work fine sometimes, and still crash sometimes) as for the "release" ca...
