Add a Chinese subforum?

19 Dec 2013, 01:51

I requests Admin to add a Chinese subforum (similar to the German subforum). I think it is more convenient for Chinese users.
Thank you very much.

I do not make codes, and only a porter of AutoHotkey: from official to Chinese, from other languages to AutoHotkey, and show AutoHotkey to ordinary users sometimes.

A sub forum or host a separate forum I am willing to do either

Thank you for your reply.
I think that a subforum may be better, and I can write some posts to introduce AutoHotkey and guide new users. Here they can find a lot of resource to learn AutoHotkey and go deep into it. Afterwards they may help others and share their codes in Chinese or English to help the community's develop.

Moreover, the important thing is that I am unfamiliar with a forum's maintenance.

I'd really support a chinese subforum.
I really like the idea of a multilingual forum.

Yes, you also can find ahk.haotui.com, former ahk.5d6d.com and ahkbbs.cn
I was very sad about it. I had spent much time and written a lot of tutorials here, but many of them are lost now. They changed the domain and space again and again. The forum became desolate at last. My heart feel sink.

Code: Select all

中文(Chinese)
Please add a subboard at title1's board:

Code: Select all

已解决问题
In addition, what about the management of this subforum? Maybe require a person who can understand Chinese.

Well, it's obvious what you allude to. But i can't decide that. tank has to give his "go" first at management and moderating issues...

I don't know how far a 已解决问题 subforum for solved topics makes sense...
AFAIK a function to mark topics as solved directly will be added soon.

That would be a good news for users. I think it is necessary for a support forum.

Yes it is of course.
I think as long as the feature isn't added, this subforum will do the job...

it seems only proper for amnesiac to have MOD priviledges for the new forum

So you're talking about forum specific mod privileges?
i think this requires to add a new usergroup, right?

Ok, but for the time being. If someone is better for it, I would step down.
