When i download the Installer, i get a message from my Anti-virus software and it interrupts the download. Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]

Can you please verify this as i would really like to get this software.

thanks!

Search the forum for virus and you will see many of such false positives.

You can upload the installer or the zipped binaries (look at the download page) to virustotal and you will most likely see that 99% say there is no virus which is clear indication it is a false positive.

If you are really scared you can download the source code from Github, inspect it and if you trust it enough compile AutoHotkey yourself.

It's more like 85% now. Identified by 7/54 scanners. Perhaps you may want to work with those vendors on false positives?

its a pain in the ass

2 of my users on Win10 have reported that Windows Defender is deleting my compiled executable

just keep bombarding these AV companies with false positive reports

If you download the portable binaries and upload those zip-files (the zip only has the executable in it, no help or other version of ahk) I get a 0 out of 54 score, perfectly clean at the moment.

So try that, if you're convinced it is safe, unpack. Then you can download the autohotkey offline help file which is also available on the download page. The only think you are missing is the Window Spy (you can find the source code of that here on the forum, there is a help thread in the Ask for Help section about it now) and the file association of .ahk with the executable but double click on a ahk file once and windows will ask you which program to use, select the autohotkey executable and you're done.

This issue is still kicking!

When I upgraded to 1.1.29.01 via Chocolatey, Windows Defender caught these two files as Trojan:Win32/Bluteal.B!rfn :

C:\Users\me\AppData\Local\Temp\chocolatey\7z12BAF450\Compiler\Ahk2Exe.exe
C:\Users\me\AppData\Local\Temp\chocolatey\7z12BAF450\Compiler\ANSI 32-bit.bin

There are other reports of false positives for that trojan on Tom's Guide and MSDN.
