I am new to AHK and want to start using it.
I download the https://autohotkey.com/download/ahk-install.exe and send it to Virustotal:
https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/64d39 ... /detection
This is bad!
I use 7zip and uncompress the .exe
Then I send the setup.exe to Virustotal, witch gets even vorse resaults:
https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/1eecc ... /detection
What is wrong with AHK?
Does the setup.exe miss some vital digital sertificate?
Is there a community of AHK developers who could try and fix this problem?
Multiple AV is finding issues with the AutoHotkey-installer
Re: Multiple AV is finding issues with the AutoHotkey-installer
Yeah we can report to the Antivirus companies that their AVs throw false positives.
Recommends AHK Studio
Re: Multiple AV is finding issues with the AutoHotkey-installer
There is nothing wrong - but AHK is a powerful tool that also can be abused. That's why there are sometimes false positives. But hey, AHK is open source - take a look at the code and compile it yourself if you have doubts.
Re: Multiple AV is finding issues with the AutoHotkey-installer
I do have doubts, but I am not capable of looking at the code myself.
