There were many problems with Vista, especially early on, but most average users didn't have a problem with it. My sister has been using it for almost 7 years now. She is running out of disk space and memory so she is ready for an upgrade but if Vista were still being supported, she probably wouldn't mind continuing to use it.

They are coming for me (Windows 7) next. Extended support ends on January 14, 2020.

Vista was baaaadd... it had crazy amounts of bugs, exploits, quirks. Win7 is like the new WinXP, stable and generally accepted.
