file hosting services

01 Jul 2017, 11:35

I'm looking for a free website to host files, files that anybody can look at, (and possibly to store private files,) if anybody has any recommendations. It seems like the file hosting landscape is changing all the time.

At the moment I'm looking to store up to a dozen small text files/AHK scripts all under 1MB. And I might use GitHub for some of these. Cheers.

E.g. scripts no longer available at autohotkey.net, and the MS Word constants I've been having a problem with.

@guest3456: Cheers for the Google Drive recommendation, I hadn't really come across it or thought about it until I was searching today. Will investigate.

OK, tips for GitHub:
- create a repository, create a readme, add a file
- if you create the readme, then it's easy to add files
- otherwise ...?
