Hi,

I am a video editor using a software called AVID. In this software, there is a task that requires simple but very tedious work to accomplish.
Depending on the situation, it could take a few hours by hands. And I am wondering if this is something that Auto Hotkey can automate if not the whole process then part of the process.

I am looking for someone who can write a script for this process in NYC area. My office is in upperwest side of Manhattan. I can show you what needs to be done in person and you can write a code. We can talk about the fee once you understand what needs to be done.

I will post the video of the process done by hands but unless you know about video editing, it may be hard to understand. It would be easier to explain in person. But you really don't need to understand. All you need to understand is what buttons need to be pushed.

The process I am trying to automate is from 9:57 to 21:00 in this youtube clip. Basically it is a combination of command that
1) types 1,2,3,4,5,6, on keyboard in a window
2) move to a different window and copy the information on a specific column and then paste it to other column of the same window
3) move back to the first window and type 7 and then repeat

You will need to be running a windows OS to use AutoHotkey.

Oh my god! is it the case? So you can't write codes to command for any application? I feel myself stupid now. thank you for letting me know

I checked and there are Windows versions of AVID but i see you are using the Mac version of it.

No I am using window version. By the way, there is already a script written for mac version of the avid that automate the process. So I thought we can do the same thing for the window version.
