Capability = Usefulness = Usability (they all have slightly different though similar meanings but I meant them all).
Whereas, desirability = "look, he has something cool, I want it too!"

(Nothing personal against you in this, just want you to recognise that choice is good and not to immediately disregard something based on a bad first impression. For instance, many people get a bad first impression of me, but that doesn't mean I'm bad, but because I'm shy and have difficulty trusting people I don't know well. Once people get to know me, they realise that that first impression was not indicative of me.)

it is likely that aside from my previous comments about blackberry that it isnt the blackberry at all. it could be the browser. or some setting. Alas, it seems blackberry knows better than to allow you to actually click links that open multiple links with onclick events. its an important [[what was that word ...? oh yeah! ]] capability...

I assume the commands link from the forum works?

Thanks so much for taking pains and posting an indepth analysis. i am sorry to respond late as i just read all those Blackberry related posts (my mistake as i never thought that someone would take pains for BB that has already lost market share, so i just read the last page posts on this thread and missed your significant analysis). just yesterday same time i purchased Z10 ( though you mentioned the lack of FM radio etc. but i had some tight budget ).

..mm.. i really wanted something more that just "it sucks" :-p. anyways it is your personal opinion and i respect that, i guess your opinion is based on your other awesome phones. and i guess you are true as it nowadays seems to be a personal matter.

coming back to phone...

my last device was nokia 808, i purchased it only for thing that 41MP camera ( i considered the phone free.. ) and was happy with it. it had almost everything that a simple user needs. Also with the same price i could purchase a single camera which would be almost as good as nokia 808's camera. so the phone was almost free.. i compared it with the same priced camera's and did not found much of a difference. nokia's market share has surely plumetted but that does not mean that a particular phone ( nokia 808 ) is bad. i tried to get a second 808 yet again but could not, so then started googling/surfing, etc.

i was in two minds iphone 4s or blackberry z10 after actually using them for a couple of minutes. but again iphone 4s was out of my budget. again surfed and found a youtube video where in a guy showed blackberry z10 being as fast as iphone 4s. also ergonomically it is as good as iphone 4s ( to me ). so finally bought it.

to me the best part is speed. it responds very fast, also you could just open anything without much of a hassle. YES IT IS VERY VERY FAST.. that compensates for any cons whatsoever. to type messages on it is buttersmooth.

just loving it..

Speaking of market shares and all that stuff. it depends on hell of a stuff and sometimes the better product might get beaten like anything, just my view. also it helps people like us to pick stuff which might be better but is not costly because it does not have market share. :-p

everything looks the same, i feel the buttons being highlighted when pressed also but a new window does not open.

Nope, it's not. I suspect it's something unrelated to the phone/browser itself, because I have absolutely no problem clicking those buttons. Everything works as it should. (On my Z10, I might add.)

(Oh, and I might add that the BB10 browser is widely considered to be one of (if not the) fastest and most HTML5-compliant mobile browsers out there. Yes, even by anti-BB sites like BGR.)

There's no setting for anything like that. Why would there be?

Could be a network problem? Or perhaps his phone isn't updated and is still running 10.0? I haven't a clue. All I know is that when I press Download, the page navigates to the Downloads page and it automatically asks me where I want to save ahk_l, as it should. The other buttons work too.

The phone was sealed pack.
It is not updated yet. It is 10.0. 10.648
