Hi guys!
I have run into a problem playing EQ 2: my sticky keys from Windows do not work when I'm playing EQ 2.
Normally the Windows sticky keys work a bit like CapsLock: when pressing shift (or control or alt) the machine does not first respond in any way. But after that press (AND releasing) the shift-key AND THEN pressing another key - -> then the keyboard reacts as if the shift key would not have been released at all. Handy, when you for some reason do not want to hold down the shift key when pressing another key. First you press the shift key and then the normal key which will be interpreted as if it would have been pressed with the sh-key down. The same result as the key presses 1) Capslock, 2) a key, 3) Capslock gives. But with Sticky keys your sh-key will react as kind of a caps-lock key, except that it turns itself off immediately after the following key has been pressed. This works with also both the Ctrl and Alt-keys, but I don't use those as much.
Most folks don't know about this feature of Windows at all but it is there (Control Panel, click Ease of Access). I use it all the time because I find it hard to press both the SH-key and another key at the same time (I'm disabled).
Now, since this EQ 2-game does probably have a keyboard routine of it's own I have been reflecting on having AHK do the job. Does anybody know if it is possible? I think the routine ought to keep track of whether EQ 2 is active, consume every first SH-press, react on each keypress after that and make that second key press uppercase and then go back to the beginning.
Many thanks to you in advance.
