hello everyone,
I'm looking for some suggestions on how to approach my specific setup. i have a arcade setup with 2 ps4 (ds4driversoftware) controllers and they are all setup and working great with my hyperspin/rocketlaucher setup. where im looking for some help is with these games from steam (Street Fighter 4, 5 and Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3) we are able to get the gamepads to work without too much fuss, but im also really interested in getting them to work with the arcade panel as well. the arcade panel is setup with keyboard inputs so i need to figure out a way to map those inputs to i think a gamepad that these games can see and use. i was tinkering with the universal control remapper (ucr) and i thought this would work but found that there might be some kind of conflict with the ds4 software that may prevent that from working the way i want.
Any help would be appreciated
Rich

Re: Help needed with Arcade Controls and PS4 controllers
Hi
I am currently in the process of rewriting UCR in C#, in tandem with someone who is going to be using it with an arcade cabinet setup.
What is the problem with the existing version of UCR?

Re: Help needed with Arcade Controls and PS4 controllers
thanks for the reply!
when you set a key to a x360 button it was not creating then controller (no usb connect noise) in the devices and printers thus it didint work. and it seemed like it could have been the ds4 software. conflicting i thought i read somewhere in the main ucr thread that it might be a cause?
we were using this as a guide:

let me know if you need any other information! thanks again

Any word EvilC? Thanks man!!
Re: Help needed with Arcade Controls and PS4 controllers
Yeah, I seem to remember hearing that there was some compatibility issue with DS4Windows.
Could you maybe temporarily remove the software that you think might be conflicting?
The new version of UCR will be using ViGEm's emulation for gamepads, not vJoy, so should not suffer from this issue.
However, Nefarius is having to rewrite the C# interface for ViGEm, so currently I have no alternative.
We are hoping to have an alpha of the new UCR ready in the next week or two, and this may include support for ViGEm

Re: Help needed with Arcade Controls and PS4 controllers
If it happens to have support for ViGem, I'd be more than happy to trial it out!
Re: Help needed with Arcade Controls and PS4 controllers
Nefarius is currently rewriting the C# wrapper for ViGEm, as the old one was architecture-dependant.
As soon as he pushes the new version, I will implement ViGEm

Sounds good, I'll keep an eye out! Where's the best place for me to monitor to see when it's released?
