Unreal tournament background Topic is solved

I am playing two instances of Unreal Tournament 2004 and I am able to lan them up together the problem I'm having is whichever one is in the background will not receive inputs I literally just discovered this autohotkey today and doing some reading to try to figure it out but any help to get me started in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!
