Does we need Announcements threads in every section?

Does we need Announcements threads in every section? I mean this:





As far as I see there is no more need for ATTENTION!: For those having problems logging in thread because there are no more login problems after forum engine upgrade. Forum engine is upgared and migrated at https://autohotkey.com , so there is no need Forum upgraded to phpBB v3.1.x and autohotkey.com threads. Also I think it is better to move Issues with registering, Post your username here... to Forum Issues section and make it sticky there.
I don't think there is actual need for any thread to be shown in every section. Every thread should be in its own section only. I think this will make forum cleaner. What you think about it?

We need them.
Most people don't check every section on their first visit, yet this is the topic that might help them.
You are right about the 2 topics mentioned though, they don't really need to be announcements anymore.

I just tried to deannounce them and it didn't really work.
Maybe if I go to the admin panel.

I think the announcements are fine as long as they are limited. I've been in forums where the administrators go crazy with stickying and come up with 14 announcement/stickied threads, and they by default only show 25 posts to a page - only 11 regular conversations are shown on any given page as a consequence. I agree with nnnik that announcements, especially ones that are supposed to be targeting newbies, are better placed globally in ever section to make them easier to find.

Maybe they should have a predetermined deannounce time so they don't become stale. If they are still pertinent after the period just re-announce them.

OK. But what about threads other than Issues with registering, Post your username here...? Is there any need to keep them in Announcement section? Maybe it is be better to keep only Issues with registering, Post your username here... in Announcement and remove all other?
