I don't know any lawyers that would know anything about American law (which I think the domain organisation is based on, they using the term "common law"), nor about Internet-related stuff, alas.

So my point is, there's no benefit of paying $3k just for buying a domain name.
One reason would be that there are a ton of links on Autohotkey pointing to the domain. We don't want them to point to malware or spam or whatever.

Is there any reason why it can't be just a simple domain? This "premium domain" stuff looks like it's for strictly commercial sites and should be avoided here if at all possible. There appears to be no official standards for what constitutes a premium site in any case.
