I have been asked an amazing amount of times about the old wiki.
I have a dump of it but its in a completely different format.

I have also been asked about user submitted content

Its naked and i will work on skins and images but for now kids its all yours

Feel free to create a profile if you like. Feel free to create pages about your scripts. Documentation for said scripts.

I especially would like to see some user created tutorials

I'm on it now, however I know very little on how MediaWiki works (including its syntax); it will surely be fun to learn. By the way, I am incredibly annoyed at the fact that the first letter of my user name is capitalized (it should not). Also, I miss the 'Recent changes' link in the sidebar.

Agh. I'm probably too late but...

I've experience in maintaining wikis, mainly in a intranet, and I have very bad memories of working with MediaWiki. It's probably because it is tailored for the onslaught of Wikipedia usage but trying to change anything in it (software, not content), or moving content in or out in bulk, was a nightmare.

I switched to DokuWiki years ago and (from a maintenance/customization view) it's been like night and day. The data consists of text files (no database required) so a backup, or adding data in bulk, is just working with text files and folders. And if you have a server that can rewrite URLs, they end up beautifully simple. And hey! no uppercase required! :D See http://www.atnbueno.com/doku.php?id=fincs (that's a throwaway wiki I set up a few weeks ago, feel free to play with it, but no guarantees of keeping it alive).

Regards,
Antonio

I'm not married to any particular wiki but they are going to all require a lot of wrk. I really want to finish customizing joomla and use it for a cms. But time is an issue. Anyone experienced with joomla?
