The notice was nearly non existent. This was specifically a security patch. JoeDF alerted me to a newly discovered XSS exploit and patch for it recently. I failed to make sure we coordinated a proper notification period in planning this with him

dont take it personally man
its better to think in terms of failures of systems. this whole organization is ad-hoc and volunteer based, so you guys are learning as you go. so what if there was no notification this time? learn from it, put a procedure in place for next time, and move on.
