I dont really know that there will ever be a "Correct" wording. I have made a few minor edits. I am willing to continue to hone the wording

i love that feature, when you turn off the lights it is so soothing to eyes, our @tomoe_uehara might fall in love with that may be.

@smorgasbord: just install the Stylish add-on and use one of the hundreds of phpbb styles you can find at http://www.userstyles.org (search for phpbb for a listing) :-)

yes but as guest suggested there are user styles available to solve this. It really only belongs if it suites the desires of many (not necessarily a majority). we have to remember the page is global and we dont want it to look too busy

Just a question: Shouldn't we keep the announcement section free from discussion - and have only announcements here?

Lately the announcement forum has a lot of new posts - and no real announcement. This might lead to overseeing some real important announcements. IMHO The discussion might/should be outside the Announcement subforum

I tend to agree. I think being able to easily see that there is an actual announcement might be worth sacrificing the ability to directly comment on an announcement. It might be better with a different style of CMS, and announcements on the front page.
